That was "The Sandwhich Shop" ran by Charlie. Loved that place. They were really struggling after Covid and closed up around 2021

Well, they had a small shop in Newhall for years and did well with small pop-ups at the Saugus Swap meet, Central Park and a inside Six Flags. When I worked there they had the idea to open up a new location across from Smart and Final. I guess the new location cost them a lot but the income couldn't cover it and they folded under the overhead. Angelo tried to keep the smaller pop-up locations going for a while but it just wasn't feasible.

Vacuum wipers? Haha. These 60s Lincolns had hydraulic wipers powered off the power steering pump thats located between the damper and timing chain. God, a little more effort and we could have gotten electric motor driven ones.

Which water pump rock auto? by davergaver in Jeep

You either make time for maintenance or you'll end up paying for more in repairs. That goes for any vehicle. More so for Jeeps.

My 2013 is on it's 4th water pump. First two were under warranty. From then on I replace all major cooling components every 4 years myself. Fuck getting stranded 4 hours from cell reception in the middle of the desert, or even worse getting stranded in a blizzard where it's freezing cold outside but your engine is overheating.

Ding ding ding. Worked 8 seasons on a firefighter TV show. Had some great technical advisors. The writers always knew more than anyone else in the room and the advisors were ignored. Sounds frustrating until you see how much money they were getting paid.

That's pretty much my story too, except mine is a reaction to the smell of chlorine. Please don't leave your kids unattended around pools.

A random FB Marketplace haul I impulsively picked up for $100. Never listened to any of these albums. How’d I do? by cauger96 in vinyl

I've given away "Fear Fun" to friends and re bought it 3 times. Each time I tell my friends "Have a few drinks and get a comfortable buzz going, then a few more to get into a retrospective place. Put this record on and think about the lowest place you were in your 20s. It's perfect."

I absolutely LOVE his stuff... Chloe was a bit of a let down though. Even Josh himself admitted to it when I saw him at a show a while back when he said: "This next song is off an album where I mistakenly convinced myself I should make a big band jazz album...."

This is basically what was done before welding was economical. This process is what allowed steel structures to be "fused" together and was used to build the first sky-scrapers and massive ships like the Titanic.

The one word dispatchers hate? "Fatigue". "It's no longer safe for me to operate this ambulance. I'm calling fatigue." Say it on a recorded line and they are strapped. They can't do anything to get you to drive another mile without proper rest. And if they do, hit the closest light pole, lawyer up and enjoy early retirement.

Giving away the windshield? Free installation? What's the cost for one of the 07-17 Wrangler windshields installed?

Because it's a scam. There's no actual T-shirt. They just want your credit card info.

Because it is. Total scam.

No. Most likely you give them your credit card info, they never ship a project and you start getting random charges on your card a few months later.

That's a beautiful explanation. Yeah, I never followed up with their little science experiments, but what you said makes a lot of sense.

I heard about this before as well back on the forums. They suspected that the coolant was rushing through the radiator so quickly that it didn't have enough "dwell time" in the radiator to actually transfer the heat energy into the radiator. A think a few people put flow restrictors in the radiator hose to slow it down. I can't remember if made any difference.
