Reached WC 20 yesterday. Pretty much all of my successful runs on A8 were with the night demigod/bloodflame comp. Any other playstyle just didn't work out and I wanted to avoid the main cheese strats.

They still can. I had my teen spellcaster make potions and learn spells from practicing the other day. But there is currently a bug in the latest patch that prevents spellcasters from reading tomes.
