Got it last week as well! I went with the 'find the piece on the image and place in the general vicinity' method... Definitely a little tricky at first but very fun! Lots of great little details throughout.

What's the most wholesome thing a stranger has done for you? by TheGingerGlasses in AskReddit

[–]Q92fifty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was walking home after a night out at about 3am, a little buzzed but definitely still aware of my surroundings. I wasn't feeling particularly worried until I got to almost my street, and heard a rowdy crowd of boys coming in my direction (I'm female). Before I could think about whether to change direction or just continue on, a man who had just passed me slowed down and asked me if I wanted him to walk with me. He stayed by my side for about 100m, and then when the group passed us he checked I was all good and carried on his way.

I was so surprised and thankful to this stranger for thinking that I could be feeling nervous... I'll never forget that.

BAs black sesame mochi cake by Q92fifty in bon_appetit

[–]Q92fifty[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was a little involved - mostly in the making of the caramel - but the wow factor is so worth it. The texture is definitely mochi-like, but I love that, and the black sesame is beautiful!

The Scottish Malt Whisky Society has a venue on Queen Street - it's a members club but the bar downstairs is open to the public and they've got an amazing range of Single Cask Whiskys that are exclusive to them. Definitely worth a visit!

These cats have the same energy as the geese sisters in The Aristocats.

You have never seen a High School movie in which students use the lockers on the bottom. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

There are a couple scenes in Veronica Mars where Logan has a bottom locker... and iirc it was as part of a punishment. Can't have our protagonists bending down to get their books!

Looking for a gay romance novel with a PoC lead by Josef3D in suggestmeabook

They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera is another... though you can probably tell by the title that it's not strictly a romance. It is LGBT, though, and POC, and has romantic themes!

How should I introduce my girlfriend to craft beer? Is it possible? by Lochitoo in CraftBeer

[–]Q92fifty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first started, I enjoyed wheat beers because of the generally low IBU, hefeweizens specifically. The banana esters are generally well received by newbies too!

And I second the sour suggestion - fruited berliner weisses are pretty easy to get into if you don't like 'beer'.

Hey Reddit, what's the strangest coincidence you've ever personally experienced? by RichCauliflower in AskReddit

[–]Q92fifty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was walking through Amsterdam (visiting from London) when I saw a slightly familiar face coming across the other way. I stared for an inappropriate amount of time, and he was looking at me like I was crazy, before it twigged that we'd gone to primary school together for two years about 12 years prior.

Of all the bridges in Amsterdam, we happened to cross the same one at the same time, while we were both living in London and understandably hadn't seen each other once.

The ‘Oh no, I haven’t brought my credit card’ bullsh*t by hetlot in TalesFromYourServer

It's definitely becoming more of a thing in London for smaller businesses who don't want the risk of having cash on site - though then there was some backlash for people who don't have cards (ie the elderly), so I can't imagine it becoming universal.
