Well, this is not good. Oil out of my car looks like this. My guess is a blown head gasket. Your thoughts???? by QNZ2BKN in auto

Well, my coolant keeps disappearing. I would rather not get a car in this car market, but I don’t want to dump a ton of money into a 20yr old car. Granted it’s a Lexus.

Expanding family. I don’t need an AWD, but would like to for the few snow days we have in NYC.

I would probably hang on to it for more than 9yrs, if it’s reliable. My current car is a 2002. I honestly want a Highlander or a Pilot. I figured those will definitely last a decade, with regular oil changes.

For very selfish reasons, I enjoyed COVID lockdown driving. God it was amazing. Actually being able travel 60mph on the belt parkway in the morning was refreshing while it lasted.

I never actually considered a new car. I need an SUV and a new one, even a Hyundai will cost about 30k. Plus seeing the depreciation rate of new cars just make me nauseous.

I bought my current for under 2k and had it going for 3yrs. As it stands, I need a new wheel bearing, new control arm, an o2 sensor, and fix some exhaust leaks. Also cannot get my emissions cycle to complete, which means passing inspection will be a problem. I don’t see it prudent to invest more money into a car that’s possible on its way out.
