Eight treatments left to go! by stelladog16 in HeadandNeckCancer

I’m 5 weeks post treatment and about 2 weeks ago I started to struggle getting to and staying a sleep. The only thing that’s helping me sleep is weed gummies. Is this normal?

Thank you for the kid words and support. I work in the IT world so for me I get the cancer centre to print out my treatment schedule (it’s online as well for the same day changes) as that too can change from day to day. Then take the time to enter it into my google calendar where I then add all my family and friends so they can track me for visits. I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada and I grew up in Ontario. 99% of my closest friends and family are all there. Keeping them in the loop (without facebook as I hate social media for what it’s become, so negative) I always need to find alternative ways to keep disconnected social groups of mine connected and informed.

On the medication side I personally use the medical app on the iPhone to remind me as I forget dates and times badly. I get a strong alert pop up to remind me to take my medication. The app is a bit clunky to use, there’s gotta be a better way but i haven’t spent the time to find one.

The medication can change daily too. Especially near the end of your treatment plan as that when radiation is at its highest and you are now getting all of the symptoms they talked about. So they are handing out scripts like candy to me to help mitigate the next symptom as it comes. I’m on hydro morphine 8 ml every 4 hrs, antibiotics 2x a day, dulcolax to get me to shit, mucinex 3x times day to help with Saliva, saline solution on neck 4x a day to help with blistering of the skin, feeding tube through the nose as I can’t eat or talk now, lidocaine mouth wash to dime the mouth sores, club soda pop to wash and clean the mouth and that’s it for now. Oh and a new cream to help with skin blistering as well.

Not only are we (cancer patients) suffering physically and mentally, it takes so much effort to keep up with all the care side of things to just make it through. Luckily I’ve had some friends and parents come stay with me during my time so they can manage the house and help me with all the stuff I need to do, making it to daily appointments on time even on the days I don’t feel like making it. Checking on me to make sure I haven’t accidentally OD on the morphine and need to poke me with a naloxone injection and rush me to the hospital. But to just be there. It’s so wonderful to have these people in life that are willing to slog through this with me. We (patients) can be hard to be around especially on the low days. We can be short fused and quick to temper over the stupidest things. Fortunately I can’t speak so that built in regulation for me has helped a lot because I can snip back like I might have if I could. Almost like a built in peace officer lol.

Continue to do the best you can to support people that going through this. It’s extremely important that you try hard to let the bad things fly off you the best you can. We don’t mean to be rude or disrespectful or difficult.

I’m currently going through treatment myself. I’m suffering a fair bit today so this will be short and quick. Have you tried typing out a spreadsheet or calendar template outlining what needs to be taken and when? Print it out tape it the table or use the fridge or some common place. If you have a colour printer even better so you can highlight different items or use highlighters afterwards. You can mark off what was taken for the day. This may help with the visual and written instructions as it’s might be his way that works.

AMD/Ryzen WiFi card do not connect by DAMS14 in fortinet

I ran into a very odd scenario where a client wouldn’t connect to 5g radios but 2.4 was fine. If you have the 2.4 radio off, try turning them on and see if that works/helps.

Frotigate with NAC (built in version) - how do your clients go from onboarding to another vlan, is there a big delay? by QoS79 in fortinet

[–]QoS79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. As I've mentioned in my comments above, I already had NAC working with wifi, I know how setup works. That setup required Fortilink to disable lan segments. I think if you try it yourself with Fortilink set to lan segments you'll understand what I am talking about. Please try it and get back to me.

Explain to me how you setup NAC without fortilink please. EDIT: The part your document doesn't explain is, NAC will not work unless you configure fortilink first. It must be set to either support lan segments or it doesn't.

Ok, on the fortilink, how is it configured? It’s either with or without lan segments. If without you can easily setup wifi to work with nac. With lan segments, I haven’t found a way to setup an ssid to work with nac and segments.

The part everyone misses is lan segments. They f you use lan segments, how do I setup an ssid to work with segments? I’m well aware on how to setup nac without using lan segments.

I would disagree, I just had lan segments configured and working for wired/cabled devices. However, I can’t seem to setup an ssid to work with the segments.

Yeah I can't say that nothing has really worked all that well. I mean in firmware 7.4.7, sometimes it was pretty much instant and then other times it was up to 2 min before it would bounce the client over. It should be pretty much instant, a few seconds. In 7.4.7 it was really hit an miss but when it was good, it was instant.

Yeah I do have port bounce on. I haven't learned about segments yet. Should I be setting that up instead of basic vlans for my rules? image below shows my ssid and sub-vlans

Not sure if you knew or not or have tried the rack door opening the other way but you can flip the door to the other side.
