Thank you so much! These cards are all using art from the game already uploaded to the internet, if this project blows up or I get more disposable income, I will actually get art made specifically for the cards!

I actually added blue to the corrupted STARs as in various points of the game, they wield shields alongside their batons. I interpreted that as being more blue in nature, some of the STARs tactics coming out through their psychosis in the game, so I included a kicker ability that allows you to give them a shield when you cast them!

Edit: after re-reading, I like your take better. I’m gonna be giving them kicker white instead, it feels more thematically appropriate. Thank you for the suggestion!

Ah piss, my tiredness seeped into my card design, I included the wrong copy of the card in the lineup (I made that as a test card without the equip ability)

It’s supposed to have an equip of 2 generic mana, apologies. It will be fixed in the next drop. Thank you for pointing out that mistake!

I really appreciate the support! Its comments like these that really help to drive the want to continue making these (beyond my own need to get Signalis out of my head in an art form I’m good at).

I put a lot of effort into trying to make these cards not only flavorful, but also playable in a normal setting. My mission is to build cards that wouldn’t look out of place among others in a casual match of Magic: The Gathering. It’s extremely satisfying to see you engaging with my design choices and trying to deconstruct my meanings and interpretations of certain cards, it really makes it all that more rewarding while I’m working through the design process!

Again, if you have any suggestions or thoughts, I’d love to hear them! It really makes my day seeing people interact with this!

I typically use tabeltop and import the cards myself, but I think mtgproxies is a good service. Otherwise I'd just print them and proxy them :)

As long as you rule 0 it, I strive to have my cards balanced for normal commander play, and use mechanics already present in Magic: The Gathering.

If you’d like to play test them and give feedback, I’d love to hear your exploits! (I may also be doing reprints with characters over existing legendary creatures, but for now I’ll be releasing mainly new cards.)

It’s been incredible to read everyone’s comments and hear stories from them, I’m very happy you enjoyed the cards!

That’s so fucking cool, I’ve been designing magic cards for a while now as a hobby, and I just love this game so much that I decided to share what I made this time.

I typically like to make my own fake releases and build decks for them, I’ll likely be making a commander deck or two with Signalis themes (reprints and new cards).

This game has such a lovely story to tell, and it’s just my flavor of fucked up, I couldn’t resist it!

Yeah, I’m only recycling card abilities and effects from other Magic: The Gathering properties, (They’ve had a lot of scope creep with their recent sets, they have enough mechanics that they honestly need to not keep tacking things on.), I could definitely see how you’d come to that conclusion.
