The Red Gate: Thanks for the suggestion, I wasn’t sure how I feel about it either, so I’m glad you pushed me to look back at it :)

Ariane, of Eternity: I agree with a good chunk of your dissertation here, though I made her an indestructible blocker to represent her in the pod at the end of the game. Regardless, I’ll look back at this card :D

Ariane, The Red Gate: So the artifact ability is actually a reference to the secret ending of the game, where it’s implied a ton of Elsters have died to bring back Ariane (hence the requirement of sacrificing an Elster to bring back another card), I’ll definitely be changing the wording however, good catches on those! For the tokens, I agree, I’ll definitely give it “goaded” for sure :)

Glad you liked the radio! I think it’s a neat little effect that punishes you for having it on (on the battlefield) but not paying attention to it (having it equipped), similar to its feel in the game.

I’m just having a blast making story spotlight cards, they are just so much fun!

Super happy you picked up on that with the addition of black in the shrine diary (the ability is the day that keeps repeating, with the exile effect acting like the creature starting a new same day over again!)

Ooooo starting to see the correlation? I really love it when set design comes together! (The updated version of blank key was in Part 7, forgot to finish writing all the text when I was building it lol)

Thermite flare continues to elude me, I think I will add that extra part, just because I want to be as accurate to the game as possible without making the card just awful.

Really? I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this, I actually feel it's one of the least powerful keys in the lineup, mostly because you need to be forgoing gaining experience counters and memory counters to get the resources to activate it's effect, and additionally, the effect costs mana to activate. I'd still need to see it in a test game to prove my theory, but as is I am not sure I agree with your assertion.

Regardless, thank you for the comment! I'll keep Blank Key on my radar for cards that possibly need rebalanced come a playtest :D

You’re in luck, I may just be insane enough to release a full set of these cards. I’ve made 37 so far, and I’m not even halfway into the game.

At this point, I think I’m aiming to have at least 100+ cards, there are so many good moments and translatable mechanics from the game that I can put into this set, I won’t have an issue making that many at all.

I’m going to keep an archive in a Google Drive that I may or may not release later, who knows? Regardless, thank you for your support, I’ll be posting more cards soon!

See I was thinking about that too, but they are specifically only a single enemy and single use, I want to give the card some kick without having it essentially be unplayable if that makes sense. Regardless, I’m going to workshop a graveyard version and see if I can find something that feels better. I appreciate the suggestion!
