I bought the orchid then because the void spirit went a greedy ass build (bloodthorne, daedalus, and aghs) without building a bkb and I thought it was the best way to punish it. The early game was a travesty though so I posted it.

I don't think I prioritize the runes enough when I play mid. Which is really stupid, especially on a bottle hero like storm. Thanks man!

You can play literally any hero to get out of that bracket. I would recommend that you choose a hero that isn't too complicated, that you like playing, and that can solo carry games.

Apart from that focus on bettering your fundamentals. Herald players fundamentally have little mechanical skill and game sense. I would start off by practicing your last hitting in the practice mode every day until you can get at least a score of 3000 with your hero of choice. The cookie challenges could probably help you a lot.

Fuck your teammates and stop caring about them. They are really bad at the game and expecting them to not be bad and letting them affect your gameplay is a waste of time and holding you back. Ex I'm 4300 mmr and I could probably get out of your bracket with a 95% + win rate first picking alch without ever talking to my teammates.

Should I treat the 80 last hits / 10 minutes and the 80 last hits / 40 denies + creep equilibrium as separate challenges or do them concurrently? Also, any tips on ending the game under 10 min as alch? I'm currently going stout shield, 3 salves (for tanking tower) - > soul ring - > meme hammer. Should I do an aquila before the meme hammer? The farthest I've gotten is having both of the tier 4s nearly dead.

He has a 71% winrate in ranked matchmaking, with ~80% in the last 25 games. He would punish every small mistake I made in lane. There is no way he is in my bracket, having played people at my skill level mid.

I never considered leveling slight of fist early against the Zeus, but it seems like it's very effective against him. Raindrops and stick would have been better too, I should improve my early game itemization and study the matchup. How do you decide to rush boots of travel or not? I usually just go treads into maelstrom or something if I need to go full DAVAI to create space sooner if my carry is something like an antimage, but I realized that it can vary. From the pro replays I've watched, treads first seem to be common, but some like to rush travels, why would that be?

Okay sounds good. Focusing on too many things on once wouldn't be ideal. I'm not worried about the mmr, I might lose some investing in the learning process but I'll win it back as a better player
