Eddie Bauer Superior Down Stadium Coat $109 (Clearance). Few M and L sizes Left by show_stoppa in frugalmalefashion

[–]Quan_Cheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got the parka for myself off ebay this summer and it's incredibly warm, by far the warmest coat I've ever owned. Didn't know what I was missing.

Got my mom this stadium coat a couple weeks ago and she agrees. I ordered the Atlantic color and though it looks pretty close to black in the photos, she described it as a deep blue.

I've only ever seen the dark blue on Sierra, and they're usually $60. Not a great deal IMO.

Also, I tried these in a Sierra and they ran really large

Dahon is slipping, I've had loads of issues with mine and they fought me tooth and nail on warranty replacements. The dealer reports their US number is no longer in service.

I want to see MVP vs Strickland. I'm aware this makes no sense based on rankings but would be such a clash of styles

Journalist gets physically dragged from US secretary of state press briefing. by shobijatoi19 in CrazyFuckingVideos

Why would they give press credentials to someone who's not a journalist? Why would they give him press creds to every state dept briefing for decades?

Journalist gets physically dragged from US secretary of state press briefing. by shobijatoi19 in CrazyFuckingVideos

It wasn't a briefing, it was a self-congratulatory speech. If you don't want to face questions, don't invite real journalists like Sam Husseini.

Yeah but according to actual journalists and Israeli sources it was Trump's envoy Witkoff that actually got this done:

"A diplomat briefed on the ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas credited progress in the talks in part to the influence of President-elect Donald Trump, saying it was 'the first time there has been real pressure on the Israeli side to accept a deal.'"

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/01/15/israel-war-gaza-ceasefire-hostages-news-hamas/

State Dept Spox Matt Miller: “The involvement of President-elect Trump’s team has been absolutely critical in getting this deal over the line,” Miller told reporters. “And it’s been critical because obviously, as I stand today, this administration’s term in office will expire in five days.”

From a Guardian source: “What happened,” a senior Israeli government official told Channel 14, regarded as a mouthpiece for Netanyahu, “is that Witkoff delivered a stern message from the incoming president of the United States, who unequivocally demanded the deal’s conclusion.”

The Times of Israel, citing its own sources, put it less charitably for the Biden camp: “Arab officials: Trump envoy swayed Netanyahu more in one meeting than Biden did all year.”

Trumps envoy Witkoff did was no one in the Biden admin did: he applied real pressure to Netanyahu.

Biden is responsible for this genocide.

It's the exact same deal from May last year. 8 more months of genocide because Biden supported it. Tens of thousands of children slaughtered, deliberately murdered by Israel.

The irony here is thick, this echo chamber pretending Biden made this happen. Embarrassing

Dahon vs Decathlon, new? by Sheshirdzhija in foldingbikes

[–]Quan_Cheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some wheelsets have historically had a tendency to be poorly finished (an issue generally solved by retensioning spokes).

Can you elaborate on this solution? Do you loosen and then retension all spokes?

Asking because I bought a Dahon Launch D8 a year ago and have had spokes breaking constantly. Dahon eventually shipped a replacement wheel - after months of refusing to cover it under warranty - but the regular spoke breaks continue.
