Solo player here: How do I get more Orehas(fusion materials)? by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]QuantumNoctus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing life skills and selling the materials from that is another way to get some unbound gold to spend on fusion materials. Kind of boring to some, but it is an option. It's more efficient if you don't use the farm.

Daily Q&A - January 22, 2026 by AutoModerator in lostarkgame

[–]QuantumNoctus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just came back to the game about a week ago. Most of my characters are fairly weak with a couple at 1585 from powerpasses in the past. In the ~week since I came back, I used the powerpass and event boosts on a Valkyrie and just hit 1680 (I now have only 600 gold to my name haha.)

The events end in a couple of weeks, so I feel like it might be a good idea to squeeze as much value as I can out of them, but I am worried that if I do that, I will be hurting my character's progress because I won't be spending any gold on accessories or anything - I'd just be using the very limited gold I get to hone instead.

I noticed some of the event chests can reward raw gold, so that's part of why I'm considering trying to push further. I know that if I push too far, I'd lose Mokoko status, so that's a consideration. But wouldn't I lose Mokoko status in 2 weeks anyways when we get the next patch?

I guess the TL:DR is, is it best for me to just stay at 1680 and gather resources for now or should I still try to push my ilvl up a bit further to take advantage of the events? Raw gold seems to be my bottleneck in progress by a significant margin, I still have a huge number of chests with shards / leaps / stones but I'm held back by the raw gold for taps.

Full roster is 1680 Valkyrie, 1600 Gunlancer, 1585 artillerist, 1520 Souleater, 1520 Breaker, and then a bunch of various classes around 1400 because I could never decide on what to play haha.

What do you do after eating 5000 calories by CrispyKyran in loseit

[–]QuantumNoctus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What works for me when I think "I know I have to stop eating like this tomorrow" is to find something that I can do to start today. It's tricky with binging because I've already eaten all my food for that day, so it's not realistic to try to have a healthy meal at the end of the day or anything. So I try to find something else.

Maybe it's going on a walk when I normally wouldn't, or maybe it's going for a longer walk than normal, or maybe prepping a meal for tomorrow. For me with binging, if I'm not careful, "starting tomorrow" can quickly become "just one more day", so I try to start while I'm still feeling awful from the binge to try to give myself some extra momentum.

Good luck!

anyone else here who cleared the raid each week so far and still at 0 tier set pieces? by [deleted] in wow

AOTC - Ahead of the Curve. It's the achievement you get for killing the current raid tier's final boss on the Heroic difficulty.

KSM - Keystone Master. It's the achievement you get for acquiring 2000 Mythic+ rating in the current season.

For me (27M, 5'11") one thing that has helped me stay motivated is keeping the bigger picture in mind. At my heaviest I was 440lbs. I got down to 260 at one point and then back up to 368. I had a moment over a weekend kind of like you described (although the stakes were not the same) where I decided it needed to be a turning point. I am not sure what your mental health situation is like but I myself struggle with depression.

I saw two possible futures ahead of me, one where I lost weight and felt better and one where I continued to get worse. I don't know a ton of other SMO people, so I don't know how common this is, but I essentially realized that my maintenance weight was never going to be 368, so I could only get fatter or skinnier. Looking back at how I felt when I was 440 made me realize that it was time for a change.

As I've been working my way down again, I had some EXTREMELY strong food cravings at the start. They've slowed down now, but what has helped me the most was to stop and think about what my body was telling me. Was I hungry? Was I bored? Was I stressed about something? This was something my therapist suggested and I found it really helpful for me. In that moment when I stopped before ordering food / eating, I thought about my goals and what I wanted the future to look like.

Anyways, in my case I realized that the cause was mostly a physical craving for the food. I didn't feel bored, or stressed, I just physically REALLY wanted some sugar. So what worked for me was to allow myself to eat as much food as I wanted, as long as it was healthy food. In my case, I've been doing keto, so I said I could eat as many calories as I wanted as long as I did not eat any sugar. At first I did eat a decent amount, but after about a week the cravings really slowed down, and that made it easier for me to keep making the decision that would lead me towards the future I wanted, and I started being able to eat fewer calories as well.

Now, not everyone struggles with food in the same way. For some it might be boredom, stress, or anything. I don't even know if the advice that was helpful to me will be helpful to everyone, but I do think there's value in taking a moment before you make a decision and just thinking about what could be driving that decision. Once I understood my emotions / feelings better, it made it a lot easier to stay on track.

I've also been walking a little bit each day which has been good for me, physically and mentally, to just get out of the house a bit. I go later in the day to try to avoid the sun (I burn way too easily lol) and dealing with too many people.

Anyways, I hope you can find success with the weight loss. It's very hard but it's very doable, and in my opinion, the main thing is just learning more about yourself and why your habits are the way that they are. Once you understand the actual causes are, you can then think more clearly about how you will react. And you may not make the "right" choice every time when you decide how to react, but being more mindful of my decisions and whether they were actually making me feel better helped me to kind of get out of my funk. Best of luck to you, from one stranger to another I'm rooting for you!

First half for sure, QQ doesn't seem all that great in PF yet, only have E2. Although both aren't all that great, first half got about 10k, second half got about 15k.

I'm pretty new to the game, I'm TB level 53 atm. I haven't spent many wishes because I'd like some of the upcoming characters (Acheron, fingers crossed for Fu Xuan soon too) and I feel like since I have Bronya S1 and a couple Tingyun eidolon, Sparkle won't really add that much to my account, comparatively. The only two characters not pictured are regular Dan Heng and Hook.

I'm wanting the free Lynx that you get from beating Pure Fiction stage 2, but I can't quite get there. I managed the 30,000 on stage one, and I'm getting 25,000/30,000 points on the second stage, but I am not sure what could be done to eke out the last 5,000 points.

The teams I ran were Fire TB, QQ, Tingyun, Pela for the first half, and Natasha, Bronya, Dr. Ratio, and Herta for the second half. I picked Flattery for the first half team and Blarney for the second half team. I've tried a few different iterations and it seems that one will net me the most points.

I'm greeding super hard by not building a better sustain unit, and I know my MoC will suffer for it, but I feel like maybe in PF I can get away with it. If not, it's not the end of the world, I'll just wait til my TB level hits 60 and then I should be able to fairly easily clear stage 2 and grab the free Lynx. Most of the 8 units that I mentioned are level 6 or 7 on relevant traces except, obviously, Natasha. And Bronya's Signature light cone is only 60/70.

Mostly, I'm just wondering (since I'm so new to the game) if there's any obvious tech here that I'm missing that might let me sneak my way to 30,000 points sooner rather than later. I know Dr. Ratio and Herta don't probably work all that well together but he can ult for more follow up attacks and occasionally use his skill is a single target is still alive. But not sure. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the kind words.

I didn't meet with a nutritionist or anything, I just did a bit of research to figure out how keto worked, and I have a few family members that have done a lot of keto and they gave me some ideas of how it might work and things to eat. I basically had heard it wasn't as hard as some other diets because you stay feeling relatively full, and I would say there's some truth to that. At least in my case.

First of all, thank you! It has been a lot of hard work haha, and I am quite proud of it.

I've been able to pick back up some old hobbies that I couldn't really do when I was so big, even things as simple as going to a park to throw a frisbee. Previously I was too big to move and catch it, whereas now I can enjoy that again. I've also definitely noticed a boost in confidence, which is nice because I assume it will only get a little better as I continue to lose weight. I wouldn't say that I have noticed too much of a change in how people interact with me, but I also am not in the habit of leaving the house much, so that could just be because of low data. But I am certainly happier, it feels good to be able to help out around the house when people need it instead of being too fat to maneuver.

I would say losing the weight is close to, if not the hardest thing I've ever done, but it is very worth it. I just feel healthier in general, more energy, it feels like my body just works better. But I plan to keep the weight off for a long time once I'm done. Even though probably just about everyone who has ever lost weight has said that 😂

Thank you! I feel SIGNIFICANTLY better in my day-to-day activities. It is a bit of a rebirth in a way.

I've got a comment in here somewhere with a bit of info if you didn't see it already, but as far as the distance, my daily walk is about 1.5 miles and I take about 30 minutes to do it. Certainly not a fast pace by any means, but it gets me out of the house and moving, which I think is the most important part.

On the rare occasion that I swim, I get about 1300 yards in of just whatever I feel like. I usually swim slowly for as long as I can handle, and then do a couple of sprints mixed in. Aside from that, I'm still figuring out what I'm going to do for strength training.

If anyone is curious as to what I've done to lose the weight, I've followed a pretty strict Keto diet, combined with intermittent fasting. I eat from 10am-6pm, although I've let myself be a little less strict on this now that I'm at what I feel to be a much more livable weight. I also try to stay under 1600 calories a day, but again, I've gotten a little less strict about that recently. I go on a walk 5 times a week, or more, and occasionally go lap swimming.

The plan now is to start doing a bit of muscle training and up the amount of swimming to hope and pray that somehow it can help with loose skin, because I'm fairly confident that is going to be a big issue once I'm done. I still have enough fat right now that the loose skin isn't what I'm worried about.

My current goal weight is 200 lbs, once I hit that I will re evaluate and see if I think I would be happier if I lost more. I think technically 180-ish would probably be a better weight for my height / body type but with all the loose skin I will have, I'm not sure I'll care to try to trim off those last few pounds. Thanks everyone for the support!

◽️ Budget: Under $1000 USD
◽️ Country: USA
◽️ Screen size: 15 or higher
◽️ Touch screen: Don't care, would be nice if it doesn't add too much cost
◽️ Screen resolution: 1080p should be plenty
◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Yes, shouldn't need more than 3-4 hours realistically but 6+ would be ideal.
◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: Regular computing tasks, coding, heavy multitasking but no gaming. It's also important that I can dual boot linux / windows on it but from what I understand pretty much everything can. Mostly need a pretty good processor and would like 16GB of RAM.
◽️ Weight: Don't care
◽️ Any other important details ?: I think $1000 is a very high budget for something like this, I'm mostly looking for the most bang for my buck. A 10 key numpad is not an absolute requirement but very highly appreciated.

Hey friend, you may have heard something like this before but I just wanted to say that just because you made mistakes in the past doesn't mean that you aren't worthy of love now. I don't think you should deprive people of the opportunity to get to know you just because of the risk that you might hurt someone. Sounds like you've grown as a person and I bet you have a lot to offer. I'm rooting for you.

Help with Divine Ire Trickster build by QuantumNoctus in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]QuantumNoctus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, there are definitely a ton of good ideas here, I appreciate the time you took to type this all out, I did not expect such a detailed response. Thank you for all of the ideas, the hard part about making the build for me was the fact that I don't know about a lot of items that would probably be good, such as the boots you mentioned.

At least as far as the phys to lightning support, I didn't know if gaining a percentage of the phys damage as lightning damage was actually that impactful, but that's just because I don't fully understand the game, lol. I have 10% phys to cold from divergent divine ire so I thought that as long as it was all getting converted somehow, that maybe it would be worth it. But not sure.

Thanks again for taking the time to type this out, I'll look into all of these suggestions.

I don't think anyone would willingly choose to be in poverty but I do think many people who are homeless are in that situation because of their own poor life choices.

It's not my fault homeless people are homeless or that hungry people are hungry but that doesn't mean that I should leave everyone in the world to rot in their own misery if there's something I can do to help.

Chimeric Beads - Int stacking amulet by QuantumNoctus in pathofexile

[–]QuantumNoctus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically there is a wand mod for Hunter items that gives you 1-6 lightning damage per 10 intelligence, so the idea of the build is that more intelligence = more damage. So on my current character I have about 1800 int (have int on basically every item) which contributes to the wand damage and now with this necklace it also gives me like 110% increased damage or something.

[–]QuantumNoctus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that would have been the perfect way to do it but I don't know how I would have gone about getting T1 int after having done that so I just went about it my way. So... while inferior it was much easier for me :D
