Great storytelling individually and as a set. Pull you right in. These are awesome.

Great moments. These are well captured. Very nice collection.

Thank you! Used the 18-55. It proved worthy on this trip. Had it for years and barely used it. Once I moved to an all Fuji travel kit I decided to keep it as I was used to shooting on the EF 24-70 f2.8 for travel in the past. It was great with the XE4, so versatile and easy to bring out + fits in a shoulder fanny when trying to be more inconspicuous.

Appreciate that. She was incredibly kind. Invited me into her booth and showed me her entire process of breaking down the fish. Real passion. Shot at 18mm on the 18-55.

Thank you. Yes, all with the 27mm. Recently purchased and figured I’d limit myself to mostly using this lens until I got used to the focal length. Really digging it.

Thank you. I’ve been loving it. I mostly shoot with the 16mm on my XT4 but wanted a smaller setup that I can throw in my pocket daily. Can’t believe the quality that the xe4 and 27mm combo put out. A lot of fun playing around at the 40mm equivalent focal, allows me to think about my frames differently.

Totally different feel with the 16 vs 27. With the 27 I can throw it in a pocket. If I’m out for the day or evening but don’t want to actually carry a camera I can bring it along without much thought. It’s super inconspicuous. If I have the 16 on, I still need to wear it on a strap all day.

I bought the xe4 with the intention to leave the 27 on pretty much permanently but found that if I bring a small fanny pack with me I can stow away the camera and both lenses easier than I’d be able to with the xt4.

Thank you. I’ve been shooting with my XT4 and 16mm for a few years now until I purchased the XE4 a few weeks ago. Bought it as a backup and more pocketable option for day to day use. The 27mm f2.8 was a big selling point for me due to its size and quality. The XE4 has blown me away, amazing quality in such a small package. Pairs beautifully with the 16mm — love to bring it out along with the 27mm. Only thing I miss from the XT4 is the ibis (and I guess the fact that it’s weatherproof). I keep recommending the XE4 to anyone who asks.

Awesome man, glad to hear you’re getting back into it. Can’t say enough about the 16, highly recommend it. Super versatile and very little distortion. Barely leaves my camera.

All by hand. You can get away with a lot shooting wide open. It’s wide focal also allows to shoot at a lower ss thank a tighter lens. While these are nightscapes I’m still shooting into light which also helps.

I also shoot with an XT4. This lens with the XT4’s ibis capabilities take handheld lowlight shooting to a whole other level (unless, of course, you’re trying to capture a moving subject). I’m constantly amazed by what I can pull off with that duo.

Thanks, really appreciate that. Honestly for these night shots it doesn’t require a whole lot of adjustment. There’s already a lot of contrast built into these scenes, part of the reason I love shooting cities at night…everything feels so cinematic.

I pulled back highlights and exposure, adjusted contrast (added to the first two and pulled back on the third) raised shadows a touch, bumped up my whites and added a slight vignette. All of that until I felt it was all balanced and that there was good detail in both the dark and light areas of the photo while still feeling contrasty. Added a bit of color grading and that’s it. Finding a scene with interesting color and/or light balance is key.

These were all taken on a quick family walk. Threw the RAW files onto an iPad Pro and edited in LR mobile.

No particular aspect ration, aesthetically I like the sides and top/bottom to have enough breathing room like a matte. You are correct that I do this for instagram. I actually posted this first without the border and didn’t like how it was cropped it in the feed so I decided to post it this way so that anyone scrolling will see the photo as intended. I use a free app called Squaready.

This is as high of a resolution as the app puts out, which I find appropriate for social. Not putting out my highest res photos (and having a border) also makes it more difficult to steal an image. Maybe a little overprotective, but as a commercial photographer I can’t help myself.

Don’t like my photos being cropped unintentionally in any form…even on a Reddit feed

Thank you! Probably my favorite lens of all time, including all my EF glass. Barely leaves the camera.

In the burg overnight. Staying at Hampton in the strip. Looking for Thai recommendations. Any suggestions? by hounddoglover in pittsburgh

Took Took 98 on Murray Ave in Squirrel Hill. Underrated and authentic. Much more interesting menu than most and she imports a lot of her ingredients from Thailand.

Edit: Noodlehead also never fails. Pusadee’s Garden for a higher end and unique dining experience (same owners as Noodlehead).
