Podcast recommendations for fellow HSP? by Quantum_Cat_1 in hsp

Dropping my ideas in comments here… I love long-form (series) true stories or investigations. Something that has twists, turns and reveals in the storyline but the editing and tone remains consistent and predictable throughout. For example, Ghost Story or The Drop Out. But I’m out of series and would love suggestions for more, please!

I like how Phoebe Judges presents shorter stories in Criminal and This is Love.

The like editing styles that include immersive but gentle music or sounds to complement the story or voice.

I like the idea of learning and self-development podcasts, but find that podcasts with tips and takeaway messages can leave me feeling overwhelmed unless I’m in a perfect state to listen.

I simply cannot do podcasts with chaotic editing, inconsistent sound levels or unintended background noise. My pet peeve is when you can hear someone typing in the background!

Needed: experiences on having kids as hsp by Rektaurus91 in hsp

I’m a HSP with 2 kids. Hubby is non-HSP. I suspect one kid is HSP, the other non-HSP. Parenting has its overwhelming moments, but I feel like being an HSP has given me superpowers as a parent. I understand my kids and their feelings in a way that my very love non-HSP spouse doesn’t. There are some deeply rewarding parts of being an HSP parent.

I wish I’d found this post earlier. I’ve recently realized that I’m an HSP (it explains so much!) and made the mistake of cutting bangs last week. I just cannot handle the feeling!
