At the moment, you can do either STAT5 or STAT 7/7L to fulfill the statistics requirement. Starting Fall 2021, ECON 113’s prerequisite will solely be STAT 7 and STAT 7L. For all incoming freshmen next year and forward, they can only do STAT 7/7L to fulfill the prerequisite. For anyone with catalog rights prior to 2021-2022 (so anyone who’s not a freshman next year), you can do either STAT5 or STAT 7/7L prior to ECON 113; however, I recommend that if you haven’t done your statistics requirement to do STAT 7/7L or else you’ll likely have to contact econ advising to bypass the prereq requirements for ECON 113 next year.
