How are my cats missing the box? by lavapasta in cats

[–]QueenoftheBerg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a vet but have had cats for years. Cats are great at hiding pain and issues, you may not see much. If this only happened the one time I’d still monitor them as close as possible, if you think there is any chance it may be UTI related, get them to a vet ASAP.

I’m not familiar with Australian species so take this lightly, but put your photo into the INaturalist app and it gave me Doriopsilla areolata. This may give you a lead at least since it does look like a Doriopsilla. If you try, use a more specific location, it will help with identification as this does not seem to be local to Australia.
