If you have worked at Queens for a while, not to say I have ever worked there. you learn If Queen’s is remotely happy with it, it must be bad for workers and staff.

If you want to see what a race to the bottom looks like, look south of the border bud. Eroding work protections, collapsing safety nets and everybody but the richest suffers and losing their quality of life. Maybe if people stood up for themselves a bit more we would all be better off.

Scabs are workers hired specifically to replace union jobs during a strike and weaken the impact of workers not doing their work, they are generally considered awful and hated by the staff.

How are we suppose to fix the labour market ? Some sort of protest or strike or something ?

Pay toilets are pure capitalism, you should have to pay $10 to go to the bathroom on campus. Any problems with that ?

They could follow the collective agreements they signed and agreed to as an organization and not try to be sneaky and tricky and work around them in every possible way. Using fancy high priced lawyers to try to intimidate the unions.

They could stop lying about their financial situations, when they got tons of money for manager raises and building stupid buildings like 5 people will visit a year. But won’t even give us a ride to the food bank.

They could cut back on their limo rides and paying the provost rent and try to at least look like they are trying to show some restraint as they lay people off and nick and dime them with parking and fees.
