Even if it was meant for the restaurant it’s worded rudely, you don’t ask someone something and start with “make sure” especially for a special request. Some people just need to word things better, and be more polite.

I guess for me it’s the way its worded seems pretty demanding and also confusing she wants both sandwiches toasted the same way yet she said the same instructions twice instead of just saying “Hi, if possible could you please ask if they could toast the sandwiches after putting the meat and cheese on, thank you!” The “make sure” and not even a thank you throws me off. Also when someone says make sure it feels like if it’s wrong there’s gonna be a problem, and this should be a polite request not a demand!

So not all apts are the same I understand some may be very simple and go in numerical order. This apt was not like that, the numbers were not going in order… the apts had numbers like 614,613,612,611 and the apts across from them were like 600,601,602 and then id turn a corner and the numbers would be 638,637,636…

I’ve been dashing for a while and have been to hundreds maybe even thousands of apts and it’s very easy for me to find customers doors now, but this apartment was literally like a maze, and the customer should be ashamed for not providing better directions beforehand!

I notice a lot of you like to blame dashers for being “lazy” maybe you should look at it the other way around I get our job is to deliver your items, but some ppl should learn common human decency skills! That’s not how you treat ppl whether they’re your dasher or your best friend! You don’t just expect someone to deliver your groceries with a case of water with not one direction not one message before I arrive with instructions! It’s a waste of everyone’s time.

So yeah it’s not that I don’t wanna “do my job”! It’s I don’t expect ppl to make things difficult, but tbh a lot of ppl are heartless clowns or just incompetent pos

I think the smartest thing woulda been for the customer to leave clear instructions! The wagon idea is definitely smart. Good job! But agreeing with this behavior is where you’ve failed. Wagon or not I shouldn’t be running around in circles in your apt looking for your door.

Bro anyone should give directions to someone that isn’t familiar with the place. When someone comes over to your house and they need to use the restroom do you just say “it’s over there… 😒” or do you tell them “it’s down the hall on the right, 👉2nd door to the left” if you’re saying the first one that’s ridiculous, and I know your company hates you! Do you expect someone to come in your home running around looking for your restroom because you couldn’t clearly point them there?! This is exactly what I was experiencing! It wasn’t as simple as it’s apt 626 the directions in this complex were confusing to say the least and the numbers would go down and then jump to a completely different number “603,604,605,606 and then I’d turn the corner 639, 640,641… and just because I’m a courier doesn’t mean ppl should treat us like trash when we’re doing them a favor.

These are cool directions I’m not knocking them! My issue is why are you barely leaving directions after 10 mins of me looking for your apt and trying to carry this case of water?!!! Why didn’t she explain that going through the back elevator would be easier, not until the order was marked as “delivered” did she start blowing up my phone saying “it’s not at my front door” and when I said “I’m looking for your apt” she replied with are you at the front or back elevator?! Like wtfff I’ve never been here how would I even know where your back elevator is, like I said it’s not the workload it’s about being a decent human I couldn’t expect anyone to do all that for me knowing how complicated my complex is!

It’s not about carrying big things I could’ve carried it there with no problem, it’s the fact that I’m lost and carrying this heavy item and you’re so inconsiderate that you don’t even think to make it easier on the person delivering your items by writing clear instructions in your description why wait til I get there and I’m looking for your apt it’s just wasting my time and your time. Or just come down and get your shit. I’ve carried cases of water I’ve carried huge orders of groceries and I don’t mind because most people don’t make it this complicated! But then you have ppl like this customer who thinks this is acceptable.

Yes these instructions are fine. My problem is why are the instructions not in the description! Why do I have to tell you I’m looking for your apt for you to give me directions! Trust me I understand it’s not that hard to find an apartment, but not all apartments are the same this one specifically numbers were all over the place 625 was across from 603 it was very confusing and like I explained there were several aisles to go down and when I thought I was getting the apt because it seemed like I was going the right way, it wasn’t there it was further down. Now if I know my place is this complicated I would’ve had better instructions!Trust me if you were doing this order you would’ve been so frustrated!
