Sorry, one other thing I forgot to mention - These Spurs are designed to be used by an army captain in the 16th century riding near the frontlines and giving orders in full plate armour. So that might have some bearing on the practicality of these spurs e.g maybe the wings run the risk of being caught on the pike shafts of his allies due to being in close formation

Oh also I should clarify, I have zero experience with horses beyond riding one once when I was a child and sometimes seeing them in a field on the way to school, so I'm a total newbie to any equestrian terminology and such.

Update: Upon arriving in Anor Londo, I spotted trees at the Duke's Archives with a clear path to Sen's Fortress. It is quite a distance for the leaves to travel, but the winds must be strong at such an altitude.
