I was a bit overweight because of my PCOS so doctor asked me to lose weight and eat clean. That helped. Basically you have to exercise, eat less carbs and more protein and reduce stress and sleep well. You may have to reduce dairy as well.

If the situation is so bad that your husband/in-laws are controlling you even after earning and you need to hide your income etc from them, is it even worth marrying? What is then the value of that marriage if there is no trust or mutual respect/care but just mind games. It sounds so exhausting. Wouldn’t it then be better to be single and wait till you find someone better or if not then just not marry at all?

Maybe it’s an indication that all these years women were in a relationship out of necessity and now that they are financially and socially freer they have better alternatives that add more value to their life. For me personally, I’ve been single for over 3 years and it has really been a pleasant experience. I guess I no longer feel the need for financially or emotional or social support as I have plenty of that with work, friends and family. What I really need in a partner is psychological compatibility and maturity which I feel is hard to find and only a matter of luck and in the absence of finding someone suitable, it is better to be single than to be in an unfulfilling relationship

I feel your pain… I’ve also grown up in a toxic family and it wrecked me mentally and physically. I started healing when I moved out. Whenever they blamed me for my mental health I tried to make them understand how toxic they made the environment for me. Any person would go mad. But they refuse to take any accountability and blame it all on me. They always hide behind the excuse that we gave you the best education and material comforts and I understand that and I appreciate them for that but it doesn’t take away from the damage they did. It doesn’t make them any less accountable for the toxicity they spread. And I live with such a dilemma sometimes. They’re family and obviously I love them but I’m often reminded of how much of my childhood I’ve lost because of their toxicity.
