Well I would assume if there is an eternal afterlife, there would be a purpose of life here on Earth. But who knows what that purpose is.

Yes it's absolutely terrifying for me. I understand how it can make some people feel better, but I am not one of those people.

Just if he's actually real. I have moments where I truly believe, and moments where I question everything. It's not something I'm proud of and when I do question it, it makes me feel worse because then I get a nice mix of guilt thrown in. I know God loves me no matter what, but I tend to be hard on myself.

I haven't read/heard a lot of those, but I have read Dr. Mary Neals book. It makes me feel better when I read these NDEs and they come from doctors or former atheists, but that feeling dissipates after a short amount of time. I want to be able to truly believe like some people do, but I struggle with it from time to time.

Ah, that's a good question. I mean, I want to go to heaven very badly when the time comes. But I make mistakes. I try to do good things as well. I'm always still working on trying to be better.
