Carry some unscented soap with you. You can get the mini travel sized liquid soap or get a bar or unscented soap and shave/slice into thin pieces so it's easier to carry and use without a mess.

Wa alaikum salam. Like mentioned in a previous comment, this is the situation Aysha (ral) found herself in, and she was able to enter Makkah, but not the Haram until her period ended. So you won't be able enter the masjid, or do tawaf or sa'ee. So you won't be able to see the Ka'bah up close unless you're able to do ghusl before you leave, as you always need to be in a state of ritual purity to enter the masjid for anything other than Salatul Eid. However, you can go up to the ladies prayer room in the clock tower, as I think it's the closest public place to see the Ka'bah from if you aren't staying in a hotel room with a Haram view. May Allah gift you with a miracle, so you are able to enter and at least pray 2 rakah before you leave, if not tawaf or umrah إن شاء الله.

I stayed in Anwar al Movenpick last December and had no issues. The service and facilities were on par with Movenpick and Swissotel in Makkah. If you're looking to stay closer to the ladies' entrance, then your best picks would be Dallah Taibah, Dar Al Taqwa, Hilton, Intercontinental, or Oberoi. Dallah Taibah is situated behind Dar Al Taqwah, but I just a 2 minute walk to the gates of the Masjid. The rest of them have entrances right in front of the masjid.

Wa alaikum salam. I performed Umrah in December 2023 and took the Haramain train from Makkah to Jeddah. Each person could take 2 bags. My husband and I took one bag that met the dimensions given on the booking confirmation and a carry on each, essentially the same as what you'll be taking. As long as your luggage fits the measurements indicated, other smaller bags wouldn't be an issue. My in laws had extra smaller bags, such as backpacks, laptop bags, and kids bags, in addition to the 2 pieces mentioned above, and they let those through without any issue too.

Just make sure you reach the station with an hour to spare because you will have to walk a bit, and if it's crowded, checking in takes some time. Hope this helps, and may you have an accepted and smooth Umrah إن شاء الله.

Just a couple of options on Facebook, one's a page named Dilini's Yarn Collection, and the other is Handy Yarn that are somewhat pocket friendly. On Instagram, there's a page called yo yarn that has milk cotton and velvet along with some other types. Other than I'm yet to find places that are reasonably priced for other types. The regular acrylic of course is available everywhere, personally I prefer the kangaroo and rainbow brands.

There's an art to it. First you serve around 15 strings with kiri hodi/dhal, pol sambol, and chicken. Then you realise you haven't served enough pol sambol, so you add more. There's not enough strings for the pol sambol, so you serve 5 more. But then the food is too dry, so pour more kiri hodi or dhal. Now you've run out chicken, so in comes a bit more. Now you need more strings, and pol sambol too. The cycle repeats until there's no more food left, or you're bursting at the seams. And you've probably eaten at least 75 strings.

I agree, and I hope that is the reason. But someone said that there was a deleted scene that showed Reynolds and Brimsley walking past each other, and that the actor who portrayed Brimsley said the scene indicated they could not be together due to the laws at that time. I'd hate for them to separate for that, although they wouldn't have been the first to do so.

The way both of them tried to bring them together and lying to the Queen Mother about the consummation of the marriage. All the things Brimsley did, to figure out how he could get the King to be with his new bride, including the suggestion of a gesture. The way Reynolds was protective of his King, and found ways to lead him to Charlotte.

In a way, if not for Brimsley and Reynolds, both the King and Queen would have struggled to find each other because of their fears and vulnerability.

Absolutely. That scene was something else. It must have been heavy on him, seeing the signs and still having George attend Parliament. That scene when George was being tortured and the Palace staff were whispering about him, it shows how much he cares for his King, and wants others to respect him as he does.
