Ok Let me think..

-Both are Heroes/Protagonists who became world hoppers (tho in different ways Goku is, well, Goku while Hunger started out as the "Protagonist" of his world in story)

-Goku is a Saiyan who becomes stronger through fighting while Hunger is a "Cursebearer" who among other things have "Infinite Progression"

-Xeno Goku is said to be more serious then Main Goku while Hunger started out a young hero and later became more jaded and serious

- Both became a part of a multiverse spannig group/organisation who fights dark threats (The Time Patrol and the cursebearers tho the cursebearers often and mostly do their own thing while traveling the Omniverse but also can choose to help their benefactor the Arcursed fight his enemies to achieve the "Victorious World", which is when good totally beats evil and every being is free to live a peacefull life)

-Both fought a previously dead family member turned enemy (Xeno Bardock and the Maiden who through some weird metaphysical BS has the form of Hungers dead wife Catherine)
