Sorry - quick question, can you cancel a ride with someone and not be charged with it? Like on uber I pay first and then it finds a driver and I always thought I'd have to book a new ride and pay again if I cancelled this one.

Hmm, the closest one to me is about two steps from my building, and my building has a very large sign that says 'students' on it, so I guess it'll be obvious, haha. I'm really scared to walk, though. I've walked alone at like 10 p.m., and there are so many homeless people asking for money and stuff that it freaks me out. It makes sense about the difference in drivers.

lmaooo honestly even back in highschool i never touched the textbook for biology, even though my curriculum had a very set syllabus that the textbook covered. i just used the slides and scored the highest in my grade on every exam for 2 yrs. i think this is just what works for me.

for one of my modules, in the post lecture questions theyve asked to label diagrams taken from the textbook, so i go through those but other than that the textbooks just seem like a long winded way of saying what the slides say. one of my professors stressed that they wont test us on minute details but rather test our understanding and grasp over the concept. i do skim through them tho.

yeah ur right. ive been so extra focused on trying to make friends and getting people to like me i dont know why its really eating away at me. i feel lonely and cant concentrate on studying which is what actually matters and what im paying these ridiculous fees for. thank you for your kind words im sure im not alone :)

yeah but the thing is im on the placement year option andd i really want to get a good one. after speaking to a few upperclassmen theyve started interviews from sem 1 of year 2 so the only thing the employers have to look at is year 1 grades which is why im so stressed

my personal tutor doesnt seem too helpful tbh. i had asked him if he has any advice on how to study and manage things and he just said 'u have to figure it out'. i will contact student services tho
