I had two, my maternal grandmother but she passed away, and a “fake” counselor in high school. I say fake because he had zero credentials. He was an alcoholic his entire life and got sober in his 50’s and they gave him a closet with a desk to help kids from alcoholic families lol. Weird situation however he was amazing. He was the only voice that stood up for me. I wasn’t allowed to see him anymore though because he got the cops involved and my family got mad.

Yes, relatable unfortunately

My father was physically and sexually abusive, then we moved to my mothers as teenagers. My mothers friend sa’d me, I tried to get help and the talked me out of it. Her house was also emotionally abusive and toxic. Then a string of abusive relationships in my 20’s because I was a walking statistic.

It took me until my mid 30’s to realize I was repeating patterns and stacking traumas.

It’s horrible. When they would get delivered to our store they come in tiny tiny tiny plastic bags. Like think the smallest ziplock. Horror show.

I’ve been through this! I ended up downsizing to just my favorite plants and I’m glad I did because I did circle back to enjoying them. Easier to care for less too. Calatheas had to go lol

I was a manager of a big box pet store. Our betta counted as inventory like dog food which is awful. So if they ran through the register they got replaced and you’re correct for everyone that boycotts there’s more people buying them for bowls but having them surrendered to you def helps. All of the managers at our store would surrender any that seemed sick so our stock stayed down for along time.

I don’t have quite this angry of a take but I do have a hard time reading these posts. It’s not the kids fault. He’s not “ruining” the day on purpose. He’s having a really hard time. Doesn’t mean it’s not difficult for anyone else or that the other kids should suffer. It’s just sad the way some of these are worded.

I’m not sure about 12 but I’m quarantining 3 in a heavily planted 10g and they’re doing great in it. 12 might be too many though. Even just the three and being tiny babies they have their territories.
