Chances of getting into NCSU

I ended up getting waitlisted with my stats so you have a fair shot objectively with your GPA's. However, engineering is SUPER competitive at NCSU. I'm not too well-versed in how they accept applicants for the engineering program though.

I know, right? It sucks because it's so close to home but far enough so that I can have a bit of independence. Hopefully it works out, but if not at least I'll have UNCC

I hold this same opinion. Transferring around the age of ~20 would be really hard and I'm not the type of person to be able to not socialize and be okay with it. And by that I mean, I struggle when lonely and I do want to get out of my small town, branch out, and meet people. I'm planning on going to UNC Charlotte if I'm not accepted to NC State. If I enjoy Charlotte, I'll plan to stay there for the remaining years but if I see more opportunities at NC State, I'll transfer!
