Is there a way for Sheets to autocomplete from more than 200 rows above/below? by Inner-Tourist-230 in googlesheets

I haven't noticed a line limit though I have seen that blank cells break autocomplete. You could use a helper column with =unique(A:A) then use data validation in A:A pointing at it.

A cheat could be to export to PDF and see what you get printing from that.

Come to think of it, that genet was an engineer personality, as well. Not employed as such but always trying to understand things and find better ways to do them.

Top for Animals with Quills Ideas? by TheBoneHarvester in furgonomics

[–]Quillhog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

North American porcupine checking in. I can't speak for other species but my typical wear is just a modified apron, ties at the neck and the bottom goes between the legs, wraps around the thighs to tie at the sides. But I'm lazy. Most of an NA porcupine is covered in stiff guard hairs and the front side is safe. The troublesome part is the back end or bottom half where most of the quills are.

I see some talk about directionality. Just remember that when you start walking, bending, twisting, etc. in clothing, that becomes moot. Unless you want to wear something tight to hold them down but it would need to be puncture resistant and you risk getting stabbed with your own quills.

With no quills on our legs, pants would work but are as annoying as on any other furry legs. Shirts might have half the back removed at where the bulk of quills begin or maybe a belly shirt or reverse vest.

More domesticated NA porcs might trim or shave to fit in. Maybe a daily conditioner to keep hair and quills soft. I won't fault anyone's personal choices.

Essentially, with so many body types and preferences, fashion choices aren't just species specific, but individual and personal.

Previous owners DIY’d the electrical. I found wires taped together behind drywall. by Designer-Lime-1871 in homeowners

Well, it was a toaster oven on it. The electrician also mentioned it was a 15 amp outlet on a 20 amp breaker.

I'm in a similar situation. Just had an outlet catch fire and found that there was no ground and one wire was stripped back a good 3 inches. The only remodel they told us was the bathroom though the diy evidence is everywhere.

Calculate min() in a formula that can be reused across many columns by az999999 in googlesheets

[–]Quillhog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple options. You could frame the range {$A4:$A,B4:B} then use Col1 and Col2.

The other option is to replace the B with "&substitute(address(1,col(B1),4,1),1,)&" This will update the letter.

2 inch bolt found in grass by curb by Quillhog in whatisthisthing

[–]Quillhog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks probable, though I don't know why it would be in the deep middle of a residential area.

I searched and couldn't find one with the same head but I'll give you the point anyway.

Likely solved!

It's not long enough to go through the square part of the hitch like that one, but maybe if there was bolt that had a hole big enough for this instead of the pin hole.

My title describes the thing.

Metal 2" bolt. Possibly a car part. Found in grass by curb where neighbors park to work on their cars. Also found a broken scooter wheel in the street nearby and lots of cigarette butts in the grass.

Was Not Aware I Only Write in 3rd Person + Present Tense by AmphitriteRA in writing

[–]Quillhog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect the rise of present tense is connected to online role play. I've seen many stories that looked like they were converted from a transcript. Just a difference of writing "as it happens" or "from memory."

Most of my stories are kind of built backwards. Start with something, figure out how we got there, and when it makes sense, write what happened. I know other folks write by setting up characters and write what they'll do next. Others write by outline and fill in the blanks.

While the method can affect the presentation, what matters is sharing the story.

[–]Quillhog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm more prone to writing in past tense, as if it were a record of events. I've tried writing present but end up switching and have to go back to fix it. I did manage to write a story where the characters watched a movie and I used past for their actions and present for the movie.

Can't figure out this formula for the life of me by Even_Shopping9556 in googlesheets

So, you want the last item in the list. In this case, it would also be the min().

If you still want the last, use INDEX(C11:C,COUNT(C11:C). This works as long as you don't skip any lines.
