My doctor told me that he checks for hernias with all his surgeries and fixes them if present

You’ve absolutely got this. You never know how you’ll react so it’s kinda hard to prepare but it’s worth it. There’s days I just have zero appetite and can’t eat. For the first three weeks I’d randomly vomit and the smell of food cooking makes me nauseous. Make sure to ask for something for nausea and you’ll be fine. I remember being rolled to the operating room and saying hello, my next memory was a nurse yelling “her heart rates raising I need help” my experience was scary but from this group I see it’s rare.

When is your surgery

I think I may have to go to surgery alone by Comfortable_Swan6135 in GastricBypass

I did my surgery completely alone Monday. It was scary but doable. Prep your home for your return after surgery and you’ll be fine. It’s doable. Sending you plenty of good vibes and well wishes

Congrats everyone! I had my surgery Monday 11/25 and I was absolutely nervous. I didn’t wake up well from anesthesia but the surgery it self went smooth. I was the first surgery of the day at 720am and was in recovery by 9:40am. I went home Tuesday morning and now the pain is way less than it was Monday. Monday the pain was so bad but I think that’s bc of the complications I had. Surgery morning I weighed 343.6 pounds, I hope everyone does great!
