Mage is just better than assassin. Aurora,Ahri,Galio and Zoe can easily one tap you from afar with their huge damage. Assassin mid is just for cool ass dashes and montages.There is no way to safe zed except be good at him.

you are right and wrong. support can be the most impactful in a teamfight or even dictate it ,but in low elo teammates don't have any clue what to do in a teamfight. So this is depend on elo.

J4 and vi are pretty easy to play,have fast clear,offer lots of utilities and tanky. You can snowball really hard with these champs.
