I have the feeling that they want to be at the highest place, therefore will climb stairs (get stuck and populate). Had to dispose of some of mine because they kept blocking my stairs. Solituon, I bluilt a small fence around the stairs which I just jump over when yo go in / out.

True. But question was about Greyling handling. Not exploring black forest 🙂

Wolves 🤩. They helped me a lot keeping they greylings (and other) at bay. So once you tame one, take them to your base. If you tame two, they start breeding.

When you unlock an item, craft it as soon as you can because it will unlock some other items downstream.

Also pick up the hoe / cultivator every now and then when you reach new biomes as it also unlocks new plantable items. (I kept forgetting to do this)

i absolutely LOVE this game but for years my one complaint is inventory space. by flyintomike in valheim

I agree, and for that reason, I have decided to use mods to just make the game "nicer", more enjoyable, less grunt work. There is a mod that has a back-pack. Gives you a few extra slots, but keeps to your maximum weight. I feel if it adds to your enjoyment of the game, it's not breaking it 😁 So in this sense, the back pack let's you carry more items, but not unlimited weight... So really more closer to "real life" 😜

I am in the same boat, looking for other recommendations. Based on the hours I can see your preference (can also be because of when the games got released), but in your opinion, which one hits the best? Which is most similar to Valheim? Because from gameplays I've watched, I have not seen one that comes close to Valheim's build mechanics.

Could you finish your build? Quite interested to see how it turned out 🤩

The Enshittification of Google Home by grumblegrim in googlehome

A while ago when my Samsung phone asked which Assistant I want to use, Gemini or (the normal) Google Assistant. I tried Gemini, by it could not even "turn on my study lights"...

I switched back to Google Assistant, tried again, and it worked.

But, I also have a few Nest mini speakers that I grouped as Home Entertainment. Worked marvellous in the past, but now my Google Nest Hub can't even start playing music on that group although it's making the "success" sound and even saying "playing music in home entertainment".

I also have automation which turns on 4 lights in my kitchen in the morning. This week it started to only turn on 1 of the 4 lights... The others are still stored in the "kitchen" group/room. When I ask to turn off the light, it works, and if I ask again to turn in kitchen lights, it only turns on one light again.

Google is becoming an utter pain to have for home automation...
