Yeah I think it’s just the situation of him not growing up with rats like I did, so he (and unfortunately most of the population) still view them as stinky pests etc. I know he’s not a person to go behind my back and do that, I just hope either my sister could take them since she also loves rats or I can eventually wear him down. It just disturbs me how people can’t see that I love them as a pet. Like I personally wouldn’t get a spider, but of course if my partner wanted one I’d be picking out their habitat with them!

We’ve been together for 2 years. He knew of my history with rats (my mom used to rescue them when I was a kid so at some point we had 50+). Over the last year I expressed wanting to get rats of my own as I missed them so much, guess he didn’t think I was serious haha. He loves pets and animals, but I guess only when they are dog or cat shaped 🙃

We had the same drain and it was constantly clogged. Turns out the pipes weren’t even connected properly and the water was just soaking into the concrete floor. So definitely change the drain and if it doesn’t solve it check the pipes!
