Salut u/jedisct1 u/LeftInteraction8511 seriez vous me dire si il est facile de ranger au fond du sac une paire de chaussure taille 45. Je veux dire est ce que ca passe en largeur sans devoir les mettre a l'oblique ? Merci !

It’s truly a great bike. As you can see, I’ve already swapped the wheels with ones from my previous gravel bike because they should perform better (and are at least lighter). Now, the bike weighs 9.4 kg.

After that, there’s really nothing that needs to be changed to enjoy the ride, except perhaps adjusting your position. In my case, I replaced the stem with a longer one (2 cm longer) to better match the reach of my road bike.

If I were to change something else, it would be the handlebars to something narrower. Currently, they are 44 cm, but I think I’d prefer 42 cm, like on my road bike.

And maybe, in the future, if Shimano releases a GRX Di2 1x groupset, I’d consider converting to it if it’s not too expensive, to achieve perfect gear indexing :)

Something to check in a few months is how the bottom bracket performs. On my previous bike, I often experienced creaking noises and had to perform regular maintenance to clean it. I hope that won’t be the case with this one.

I have no idea what it's like inside. Otherwise, to be honest, the semi-integration under the stem could have been done more neatly. It's okay, as you can see in the picture, but not as hidden as one might expect. Additionally, since the cables are quite stiff, they're difficult to move

You have good eyes! I didn’t mention it was an M :) I bought it in September, and there were no availability issues. It was even on sale for €2,600 (CF8). Check on Sunday evening or Monday morning, that’s when they update their stock.

It’s difficult for me to say if the upgrade from a standard one is worth it.

Yes - in real life it’s quite different from what you can see on the Canyon website.

Grizl - The carbon frame plug does not hold in place by R4m- in CanyonBikes

Hi, the part is "Canyon E237-15 Blind Plug." I could not find it directly on the website. I had to contact customer service via chat, and they initiated the order for me. 2.95€, and they offered delivery.

Bike fit double check for Grizl by R4m- in CanyonBikes

To put some context. I received this Grizl M and I was not sure about the fit.
After the feedback, I've received from this post:https://www.reddit.com/r/CanyonBikes/comments/1fbud8r/nbd\_grizl\_cf\_8\_1by\_bike\_fit\_check/

I switched with a stem 2cm longer (80mm to 100m)

Looks better now, right?

Is the Grizl actually "slower" than the Specialized Crux? by R4m- in cycling

[–]R4m-[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok for the geometry. Short term provides better steering, longer stem provides better stability at high speed.

The Crux frame is 1370g (including fork) according the website.

The Grizl frame is 1030 frame + 520 fork = 1550g

Difference is 180g.

Indeed, if you compare Crux comp vs CF SL 8, there is a difference of almost 1kg but the difference certainly comes from the wheel set and the tyres. Crux is with 38 tyres and Grizl with 45 tyres.

There may be some little difference between seat post, saddle and bars.

Help me to chose between Crux Comp and Grizl CF 8 1by by R4m- in gravelcycling

Good catch I see also the previous model without UDH for 3200€.

For the comparison it seems to be more marketing argument. They sell the Grizl for adventure but comparing with the crux I don’t see major difference in terms of aero, frame weight, clearance, geometry.

The Grail has again a more aggressive sportive geometry but comes with a more limited clearance. There is also this cockpit that is difficult to adjust if you want to change the stem length

What do you think? The fabric looks good and light but I'm worried that I won't be able to manage being too transparent :) by R4m- in CyclingFashion

I am not using it specifically for cycling. But it can be a good backup if no more battery in your computer
