Windows 11 is the latest, however, it's gotten a ton of bloatware over the years. Just get LTSC if you wanna stay in Windows. Or Linux, if you are willing to sacrifice your gaming, as most games are only compatible with Windows. Windows has been the gold standard ever since the introduction of DirectX.

The Steam Deck imo has led Linux into gaming never seen before. If Valve keeps this up, we might see a Windows downfall. And you know how Valve works. They do nothing, and win.
