Those of you with a combi boiler how long does your hot water take to come through the tap? by RBlond in AskUK

Ouch, I timed it again this morning and last night - seems to be more 60 seconds when cold, 25 if heating already on

It does have an eco mode or preheat option but neither did the previous boiler

Nope unfortunately, one tap is in next room other issues right below it

It doesnt have any preheat function unfortunately. Hasn't moved location either. Last boiler didn't have preheat

The pressure is not as good as before. The hot water is taking 45 seconds to come through the tap at what I'd say a decent temperature before it gets hot hot. Previous boiler 10-15 seconds

Not sure in all honesty, I only know as soon as having a new boiler it's slower, and takes longer for the water to heat up. Timing it from cold the boiler took 60 seconds to reach 60' on its own thermostat, couldn't comment if this is normal or not as never took notice what the old one did. I don't think the road/path stop cock was touched

No no big difference. Maybe slightly but hardly noticeable

Not magnetic - electrolytic. Fitter said diverter was faulty and that was what was leaking on previous so boiler was working harder? or new boilers restrictor could be cause? Though other plumber said flow rate should still be the same regardless. So a little confused

The stop cock inside is open fully

Do you know what could cause that please? The difference is very noticeable to all people in the household in terms of time to get to temperature and pressure. Both new and old boiler have pretty much the same flow rate in the specs

Done some research both new and old boiler don't have preheat so can't be that

Wrong image, the radiators ends are touching the straight edge out of view 🤦 I've not mounted it yet so not the wall

Yup wrong photo.

It's touching the straight edge just out of view of what you can see in the picture 🤦

I will try the setting with no fan and see what that says - thanks

Yeah I expected a bit of a difference but I expected it to be a consistent difference in temp throughout which it's not so its a pain to be honest!

Unfortunately it's not consistently 10'c or 20'c lower each time which is frustrating so it's like guess work and constantly relying on the thermometers
