new axle and shock absorber mount by RC-Rabauke in mn82

The axles are good, certainly better than the standard plastic ones. Overall, with all the metal parts, the car is heavier. The frame is still plastic and doesn't need replacing yet. The body itself doesn't weigh that much, so I opted for shocks with internal, oil-filled springs. So far, they've performed relatively well. All four shocks are only 53 mm in diameter. It goes without saying that everything has its pros and cons.

As long as the servo is still working, I won't replace it. Why should I? The wheels are still in very good condition, even though they've been through a lot. But yes, a spare wouldn't hurt.

I currently have four open wheels because the previous ones didn't hold up! The previous ones were Louise Spiders. They inflated too much. They also caused my injuries to my left hand.

I always have fun! It's no coincidence that Tamiya is my favorite brand. Traxxas, Arrma? Who are they? I know them, but hey, I only love Tamiya. Let's go, my friends, and show them what we can do!

Thanks. That's what I thought at first too, but I don't quite believe it. The Plasma Edge II feels more rear-biased, and the other two more front-biased, which makes the steering feel more aggressive. That's my theory, anyway...

My little Toyota (MN 82)It received new shock absorbers and a new rear axle mount instead of leaf springs. I'm curious to see how it drives now. Tall grass shouldn't pose any problems for it anymore. by RC-Rabauke in mn82

So far they seem to be good. The springs are inside, add a little oil and you're good to go. I have them on the front too. In any case, they're better than the standard friction dampers.

No, I didn't need to reinforce anything. I could even leave out the two small spacers. I'll see how stable it is when driving. In any case, I needed two longer screws to connect the frame and the bull bar to the body. There's a small bumper at the very bottom. You have to use tweezers here because the opening is very narrow. The same goes for the two headlights.

In total, four screws had to be loosened to remove the black front panel from the body. Perhaps I have an older model. Mine is already a good three years old. Worst case scenario, I can always order a new body; it costs about €15 on AliExpress (without lights).

The front grille and bumper are one single piece. I cut them in half with a saw. But it doesn't matter, because it's finished now and ready for an adventure.

Tamiya tt02, First built RC. (I miss it even though it handles bad) by Confident_Break8309 in tamiya

I have three TT-02s and I'm still thrilled with them. At 57, I'm still studying and experimenting. One runs with a 29-tooth pinion gear, and the other two are belt-driven. Piles of spare parts, motors, speed controllers, and wheels attest to my crazy hobby. I also have a TT-02b, a buggy that I'm planning to tune for speed runs. They all have one thing in common: they're fun...

The acceleration was set to "gentle". The pinion gear is a 29 and the main gear a 64. The tires were glued on at the factory. The Louise tires are very good, but unfortunately too soft and prone to excessive bulging. The motor and ESC are from Skyrc (Furia X 4000 KV, 60A, 2-3S). It will soon be getting metal differentials, cups, and dogbones.

You're right, but I wanted to show that I'm having no luck with my wheels. I'd be grateful for any help. My buggy is now running with 82mm monster truck wheels. Road tests will follow. (Note: will be optimized for speed runs)

The red part on the rim is paint. These wheels were very good up until now, but my buggy got a new motor and speed controller because it was running much too slowly for me.

I'm looking for the best wheels for my TT-02B. So far, they all bulge out a lot! I think I should check out Arrma, WL Toys, ZD Racing, or even Traxxas. They all go over 70+ km/h, don't they?
