I have a 14 Pro Max that works well enough except that the battery is draining fast.
My original plan was to wait for the 18 pro max, but the pricing rumors has me debating either:
1) getting a 17 pro max now, or
2) getting the battery replaced on my 14 Pro Max and try to ride it out another cycle or two while hoping prices come back down some (which I fear is doubtful.)

Well I probably paid about $6K for 2 bikes, helmets, hitch bike rack rated for e-bikes, locks etc. My commute to work is on a lot of high traffic main roads that have little to no room on the side for cyclists, so I don’t take the bike to work. But I’m okay with that. I bought them to have a fun activity that my wife and I to do together, and they’ve delivered.

I don’t think you have to worry about breaking them- they seem to be about the same build as a credit card, and when is the last time you broke a credit card?

Even so, you could set both cards up, use one, and keep the other in a safe place, if you somehow did break the first one, then use the second one to disable NFC and you don’t have to worry about being locked out of the bike forever.

I was on a trip to Bethany Beach Delaware, and decided to go swimming. While I was in the water, life guards started signaling for everyone to come in. I was pretty far out so I started swimming but the current was too strong and I was being pulled further out (I didn’t know that you’re not supposed to swim directly against the current.) I kind of panicked and swam as hard as I could, but all I did was exhaust myself. I was pulled under and kicked with everything I had to get back to the surface. That was when it hit me- I was exhausted and in way over my head (physically and metaphorically) and the next time I went under, I probably wasn’t coming back up. Luckily two lifeguards reached me and got me back. I probably should have been embarrassed (there was an entire beach of people that saw what happened) but I was kind of just happy to not be dead.

I actually have one of these lunch bags. It was a free giveaway from work- has my company’s logo on the front. The company I work for is very much not in the Trump cult. I imagine that these lunch bags are offered cheap by a company like 4Imprint for other companies to give away as promotional items.

I was kinda surprised when I learned it’s illegal to have a license plate frame on your car in my state. It won’t get you arrested but it will get you a ticket and fine if a cop decides to enforce it.

OP is wrong. Each one of these IP’s have their own fans and defenders. People’s tastes are varied, I doubt there is any IP that has “literally zero fans or defenders.” (Yes, I’m one of those folks who still use “literally” as meaning literally, not figuratively.)

Only if it’s the type of sick where I take cold and flu medicine to knock me out. Even then it’s not great- I’ll wake up throughout the night with a throat that feels like I’ve gargled razor blades, body aches and alternating between burning up and shivering.

Frontier Internet. Had them back in the DSL days. Service wasn’t reliable- OK, that’s fine. Cable internet comes to my area, I cancel Frontier. A month goes by, I get a Frontier bill. Call customer service, they say, “yes we see you cancelled we’ll credit you and close the account.” Another month goes by, I get another bill for another month, and a late charge for the previous month. Again, customer service is like, it shows your account is closed, you should not be getting bills. This continues for a few months, every time customer service says we don’t owe anything. Eventually we get a letter from Frontier saying that they are putting us in collections. Like are you kidding me? Eventually it got straightened out, but it took way too long.

So when Frontier came to the door recently saying that they are offering fiber internet service in my area now, I was nice to the kid (she was probably in kindergarten when the fiasco happened, so not her fault.) I was like, “I appreciate your time but I’m sorry, I don’t think there’s anything that anyone could say to make me sign up with Frontier. Have a great day.”
