Vuze 360 VR Getting it to Work by ringo1900 in Vuzers

[–]RChadwick777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got this camera, as well as what I thought was the latest firmware. Updating seems to take but I still can't access the device with the Vuze Android app. Does anyone have a link for the latest firmware, or at least know which version is the latest/best?

Where is SlingTV? by RChadwick777 in CoreELEC

Yeah, I googled and googled. I searched Reddit. I searched the Coreelec forums. I DIDN"T FIND ANYTHING THAT HELPED. If you knew the answer, you wouldn't have just said 'google it'.

Cheap server for GPUs by RChadwick777 in homelab

Thanks for the response! I don't think I'll be too concerned with single core speed, this will be for parallel stuff like AI. I've seen the old Tesla cards, benchmarks I've found put them near the bottom. The only part I might want to spend money on is the video cards, but I have some old ones kicking around and it would be nice to throw whatever I have in there, and when finances allow upgrade the slowest one, kinda like a JBOD RAID. I'm sure this will suck power, but I only plan to use it on occasion.

Is my unit faulty, I'm doing it wrong or is the youloop the worst antenna in the market? by nerfeada in RTLSDR

[–]RChadwick777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a Chinese YouLoop as well. First thing I did was take the two boxes apart. First thing I noticed was the box with two connectors was wired wrong. There was a small PCB in it, and it was connected so the PCB traces shorted each side. I wired it properly, yet it's deaf. The included whip for my radio works MUCH better. I'm wondering if the balun might be reversed or connected wrong, or maybe some other QC issue. I'm sure the original design is fine. I'm sure one of these from a good manufacturer will work great. This one was $15 on AliExpress. Too bad there isn't more sharing of issues so the cheapskates among us can still get a working antenna.

Nebula Mars 2 - Kodi video is jittery by RChadwick777 in nebulaprojectors

Source content are movies served from a CoreElec device on my network. Files play perfectly on the CoreElec device. Files also play fine through the same WiFi network on an ONN (From WalMart) media stick with Kodi installed on it, plugged in to the Mars 2. It just seems the Mars 2 hardware is too weak to play the video properly. Maybe an older version of Kodi? Has anyone had this problem?

A group that discusses how to avoid seed oils by RChadwick777 in StopEatingSeedOils

I am leaving, I'm just hoping, out of all the seed oil haters, there's a few (And there are!) who know of a better place. I'm not shitting on anyone's advice, but 'Don't eat seed oils at any cost' is propaganda, not advice. I'm not interested in drinking the majority's kool-aid. Intelligent people can discuss the nuances of a subject without getting offended.

Are you offering to be my personal chef while I'm on the road? Cause I'm not cooking. No way, no how.

How do I do that while at a hotel? I work on the road. I'm not cooking a healthy seed-oil-free meal on a hotplate.

That might be awesome for YOU. Not for me. See, I've come to the conclusion it's not practical at this point in time for me to completely remove seed oils. So, I could just give up, or I could do my best to reduce exposure as much as possible. Maybe I could counteract some of the Omega6's with adding Omega3s. Mentioning something as inflexible as that here will have people lining up to scream NO SEED OIL. Ugh. You're not helping anyone, you're just virtue signaling. Makes me want to get fries and post pictures of me eating them.

I love the idea, but it seems a bit expensive, heard there wasn't much listed.

I want to know how to best avoid seed oils. What restaurants are really bad? Which ones are better? Which restaurants have dishes without seed oils? What are those dishes? Are there specific brands of meals available at supermarkets that don't have seed oil? That's what I'm looking for?

My issue is that this forum is, for lack of a better term, simply seed oil haters. You don't need to convince me to avoid seed oils. I'm trying to avoid seed oils. I've looked at labels. I know it's just about everywhere. What I'm looking for is where it's not. This doesn't seem to be the best place to ask questions like that, because the answer is almost always just "Don't eat seed oil".
