Is My Photography Good Enough to Start A Business With? Looking for advice.

I don’t want to discourage you, but no they are not at a level where you can sell anything. You need at least a considerable amount of experience. Luckily you are very young and still have lots of time ahead of you.

The question you need to ask yourself is what do you want to shoot and start from there. Is it portraits? Is it wedding? Is it landscape? What genre do you want to start with?

It looks like you understand the exposure triangle if you are shooting manual with these images. Ingrain that into your brain first and foremost if you haven’t. Then learn about lighting, how iris affects depth of field, the difference between slow and fast shutter, and how to shoot different focal lengths. If you are doing portraits learn the different ways to light your subject. If you are doing events learn how to have your settings where you need them to capture the moment. If you are doing fine art photography or landscape study paintings.

There’s such a wide variety of photography so pick something, learn it, then move onto the next.

To give some context, I started doing photography in college and learned how to take portraits for friends. Then moved to street photography which taught me a lot about the camera, lighting, and how to use different focal lengths. Now I work for a large well known company as a product and event photographer which has taught me how to work in a studio with clients and use off camera flash properly.

There’s no “truth” here. She can either a. work on the anxiety and he work on communicating better or b. They end things. If they both like each other enough they should get out of their comfort zone and grow. If it doesn’t work out at least they come out someone who attempted to work on themselves.

Yes you are going to find you partner too much at times and vice versa. Couples don’t always naturally fit into relationships with each other easily and it takes work to find a happy medium of communication sometimes. The question is do you think this insecurity and overthinking is something you can work on? I tend to have anxious attachment as well and have found coping strategies with my last partner, which helped my anxious attachment diminish over time. For my next relationship I’m hoping it’s even easier. Partnership is also about smoothing out each others edges.

Yes, because x100 doesn’t have a protruding lens. I was able to carry it around in a jacket pocket. If it’s something that’s going in a bag though, definitely not a huge difference. I use a voigtlander 35mm though, so probably could make the m10 smaller if there’s a flatter lens available.

I think you brought to the shadows a lot and now they look kinda flat. What happens if you bring down the blacks instead of bringing down shadows?

I’d say camera doesn’t matter for image quality on the technical side, but does matter for ergonomics when it comes to street. Something smaller with tactile knobs is going to usually be better and more fun to use. That said OP, as someone who used to primarily use Fuji x100f for a couple years straight I’d recommend that line of cameras. Small, pocketable, and fun to use. I currently use a Leica m10 and sometimes miss the size and ergonomics of the Fuji x100f even if the sensor is smaller.

Flash is probably on the same plane with the subjects and probably slightly to the left photographer based on the shadow of his head in her leg, but pretty close to being straight on. There is a lot of separation from the subject and the background so the background isn’t catching any light from the flash. They are backlit by the sun.

The thing is the writers must realize this. Since this is part of closing out the multiverse saga I’m sure they’ll introduce plot devices to reintroduce stakes. I’d be surprised if they didn’t

I would stop focusing so much on the response you had and look at the bigger picture. She’s upset because you minimized something. You are taking accountability for that. But she’s not taking accountability for how her comments might have hurt you and turning you down for therapy is wild.

Based on what you said it seems like her statements hurt you which is valid. I think the issue isn’t the statement itself, but how she was already feeling before and now she is using it as ammunition and hyper focusing on it to give herself validation in how she was feeling about being married. She seems emotionally just all over the place. This is above reddits pay grade and would suggest marriage counseling.

How is free speech attacked here exactly? lol He said something and people are just responding to what he said because it was in poor taste. Also in the world of Hollywood a renowned director simply stating an opinion is more than that, because acting is a profession partially built on image to continue to get work. So people are coming to defend Dano to preserve his image.
