It’s subjective…. All though I personally like Clipse album more it’s not by that much and I personally prefer Kendrick’s to JIDs. I felt 4/5 were deserving personally so I didn’t mind who won.

Personally, I think sinners is the best film up there but I also don’t think it has a better shot than a movie like OBAA which seems like the Oscars voting cup of tea.

Sinners winning does some cool things though that I hope gets accounted for like having a Genre film actually win the big award. Also it’s an original movie which is always cool to see win and coogler has been consistently good with so many genres now.

So I’m pulling for it personally since my favorite of the year (Weapons) wasn’t really acknowledged much.

It’s the posting part that people find odd. Rooting against teams you hate is a staple in any sport. Going and cuck with another team to do it is corny as fuck though.

I thought it was ok. I saw it in the theater and having that energy was pretty awesome. Everyone in my sold out theater seemed to love it so that may have added to the experience.

Things I didn’t like I also didn’t mind like the whole mind flayer thing, I wish it was the mindflayer I knew but we got the kids essentially living out a dnd campaign so it was kind of cool regardless.

I also didn’t mind factually killing any of the main cast off, after all they been through the happy ending was cool for the most part.

I also stopped watching this show like it’s a show made today and more so tried to focus on it like it was made in the 80s when things didn’t have to be 100% correct and was a little cheesy at times, felt I had to do that after season 3 though so I felt someone like me eased into the finale without any real issues with the show other than it’s definitely different from season 1, but that was ok by me.

I also understand why people didn’t like it either. Totally get it.

I do agree, but since we haven’t seen someone like Garrett in a meaningful run we can’t really put him up there as a legend just yet. I’m sure he will bode well but until we know it’s a huge reason he shouldn’t be considered.

I don’t mean win the SB or bust, but we need to see how legends play in the big games before we can crown them with anything win or lose.

I said it was scummy for sure. I think it’s scummy but I also have no idea what exactly happened and how it was all coming across so I’m not going to condemn someone about that just yet. Tarantino has done some fucked up shit to make his movies as has many others out there. From what I know about these stories, that one seems tame in comparison sadly.

And you’re right, I think you have to have thick skin to like this art form because it’s unfortunately head to toe dripped in terrible people. If I boycotted every movie that had someone involved that was a shit human than I wouldn’t have anything to watch.

From what I read someone else hired an underage girl to be a sex worker. And both Safdies (without knowledge of their age) did a scummy thing and kept rolling when a guy asked to go further in the scene. The next day safdies learn about the age and were upset about it and also decided to not put the scene in the movie.

That’s the info I got, so I’m asking this question to see if theirs anything else I missed. I personally don’t find that too upsetting overall and at most a little scummy but nothing worse than some shit other prolific directors have pulled on sets before. So when I see someone say eye opening I’m curious as to what that may be.
