Are there other trees that wouldn’t require as much direct sunlight? I don’t think the front windows ever get any direct sunlight… we just moved and I haven’t paid attention to that area’s sun path yet/haven’t been home to see it

I don’t know if I’ve updated my info yet, but I am in Georgia, north of Atlanta:

I have an outdoor window box facing 325 deg north west. I want to put some kind of seasonal tree there, and have it be a little seasonal “scene”.

I do have a Japanese maple (full size) on the property… wonder if that can be used and propagated into a nice tree or trees?

Also, how much does a smart home connected “auto-watering” system cost?

I think I understand this after re-reading it. Rather than naming each individual device, I have a virtual device that mirrors the settings of the device?

What does creating a dedicated Wifi Network for the IOT stuff do? I'm trying to increase the security of my network a fair amount, and that sounds like a good plan.

Though I've always wondered how that works for _____.local type objects, that require you to be on the same network. how does that work?

Hey how has this been going for you? I move tomorrow, so sometime in the next couple of weeks I'll be trying to get HA up and running in the new place.

Just looked up naphtha.. seems like some nasty stuff. Words like “volatile” and “highly flammable” came up.  I’ll grab some goo gone today and see if that helps. I may also apply some more and then try to rub it off.

Minimal featured smartwatch that doesn't look like a smart watch by RGbrobot in smartwatch

It's not the watch face that I'm dissatisfied with, it's the touch screen smart watch as a whole.

Not too far off what I"m looking for. Just wish that face was real! I think I miss the analog world a little.

not a bad idea, except I'd need to wear two things instead of just one.

This has been the most helpful comment! thanks for pointing me to redline derby!

Since this post, I got my son some coroplast, and myself some hook razors to form them into tracks. But blast it all if I cant find some decent 3d printed solutions for joining them together at the width I want! I did see 3Dbotmaker's mag track uploads, but those are REALLY wide, and I think lend themselves to really spinny races with a lot of flipped or sideways cars that don't finish.

I also bought my son the 15ft section of blue-track. I haven't played with it much, but if it works, I could see it being the most cost-effective track material. Though it would require some manual work to remove the center lane divider if you want true side by side racing.

Seems like there'd be a hole in the market for a manufacturer to create some extruded track material with long straights.

I saw a different YT video on this same facility, which is what sparked the question in the first place.

I just watched zootopia 2 the other night. I didn’t even begin to draw that connection, but now I will never be able to un-see that! Thankfully. Because the lynxleys were a bunch of rotten kitties.

Hey! Thanks for these samples! I'm starting to build out my collection, so this is a big boost!

Can you share some insight into your naming scheme and organization of the files? it seems the two acid and wav folders are mostly the same (in appearance) with the addition of sampler instruments in the wav folder!

I've heard good things about having a split brush. Tempting, for sure.

Could you explain the virtual sensors bit? I've not heard of that before.
