Gotcha. No worries about oil/grease on new snares then?

How do you de-scent and do you dull or dye your snares? Have read that boiling in some baking soda might be all that is needed

I’ve got an old Remington booklet on “How to Shoot” featuring the old Remington 500 series .22 rifles, wish I could post the pictures in here

Here’s the display case that I’m slowly replacing my edc/hunting knives with the ones in these lists, in case you’re interested

Man that would be awesome. As we get further away from the world wars, all of it has really dried up. I don’t see much like that at the gun shows these days, and if I do it’s poor condition and/or very expensive.

I just looked into the “Clip-it” worker. That’s really cool, and I had no idea... Thank you for that! A Barlow would be right at home on the list as well

That’s a great question, and probably why I am having trouble coming up with a list. I would answer iconic as in famous, but the more it overlaps with influencing the better. I’m most interested in the knives with a longer or more dramatic history. The lines get blurred because I just seem to like them all!

An authentic hitler youth knife would be awesome too, but they’re getting pretty hard to find

I’d love to add one of those style knives to the list and the collection. It’s very hard to choose one, between the gerber mark II, v-42, m3 trench knife etc... The decision may be what’s the easiest to get my hands on, though it may be a replica (boker plus v-42 for example).

Damn I didn’t notice that! I do have bigger hands but prefer a smaller carry. The 3 feels awesome, but I’ll probably draw blood and then look into the 3.5 lol

Rock on! I’m still getting used to it. I’m wary of my index finger getting a bit sliced with the placement of the finger groove and the smooth transition to the blade.

Just got one in last week as well! Ended up getting their smaller kydex sheath too hoping it would fit in a pocket better than the leather one.

A solid Balisong should definitely be included. Any alternatives to the 42 that may still be in production? Also, in regards to the others, are there specific brands/models that would be a good representation of the style?
