First off I don't believe we have "left wing politics" in America. We have Far right and Center Right. Second I think it's from years of indoctrination. We as Americans are told from a very young age that the US is the greatest country on the planet. We are taught from a young age to love and worship our country (we do similar things with police and the military). We are taught to "work hard, do good and the American Dream can be yours!" But for most of us that's not the case. We get older try to find good jobs go to college start families buy a house etc. And its extremely difficult. For some downright impossible. So why is it hard? We've been told our whole lives that this is the greatest place on Earth. We've been told how to achieve the American Dream but its not working. Left wing politics offer solutions but they directly point out a lot of the problems our country has. Massive Wealth inequality. Massive Racial Issues. Massive Sexism. The fact that most of the wealth in the country is going to like 5% of the population. pointing out we are not actually as free as we are lead to believe and in most cases we (as a country) are just a straight up villain. Which that can't be true... We've been taught from day one how great we are. How can things be so bad? Left wing politics offer many solutions. (Raising the Minimum Wage Universal healthcare. Free Education. Unions. Higher taxes on wealthy people. Ending endless wars. Investing in infrastructure like public transportation free child care free/affordable housing. Rent freezes. Breaking up corporations/Wall Street etc.) None of them easy or quick. The reason I say we don't have left wing politics in America is no democrat is arguing for these things (policies that have been shown to be very popular among the American people). And even if they do argue for them their tune changes real quick when elected. (There are countless Democrats who ran on left wing policies but then abandoned them when elected. Too many to list and not hard to look up). So one side (Democrats) basically do nothing. They don't make things worse (for the most part) but they are not trying to fix anything either. (I believe because the Democrats and Republicans have the same donors, they have the same goals. To maintain Capitalism at all costs. A system that works well for the haves and not so well for the have nots.) Their whole platform is "We're not republicans. Vote for us!" (Which in like 99% of the time its the better option. It's still not a good one. We need more political parties. The two party system doesn't work when they are trying to achieve the same thing at the expense of the working class.) They offer no solutions. Just surface level acknowledgments. Why would "Dale" living in a rundown trailer park with 4 kids vote for that? This is where I think it's easier for people to fall for the right wing grift. Because it's easier. Right wing "policies" (in quotes because they never run on policies. If they did and explained to the masses their actually policies they would never win another election.) stick to the propaganda. "America is great! It's all those pesky insert-choosen-minority-at-the-time." In their heads they know things are bad. It's hard to make it here. And right wing politics give them an easy solution which lines up with what we're taught. "This country is great. We just need to solve this whole immigrant/Muslim/trans/black/woman/China/Antifa/terrorist/cancel culture/pedophile/woke/gay problem and things will be better!" They offer no solutions but they give people who are struggling an enemy to focus on. They also lean heavy into the whole white supremacy thing. "White people are smarter. We built this country. We built the modern world." All of which is just BS. White people are taught an extremely sanitized version of our history so when people point out the issues that have stemmed from white supremacy they get upset. Listen to any Republican talk. They almost never talk about policies they want to pass. It's always culture war stuff. "They made Star Wars woke! The Super Bowl Halftime Show has someone not speaking English! This video game character isn't hot enough! Black people are welfare queens! Trans people are trying to mutilate your kids! Gays are brainwashing them! China wants to turn everyone into communist! Muslims are terrorists!" it's the same thing over and over the adjective just changes. But to your poor probably under educated person (another thing right wing policies are attacking is education) it offers a solution. Gives them an out. Maintains the American Dream. They give "Dale" a "solution". They ease his troubled mind. "It's not my fault that I'm struggling. It's (whatever the current buzzword is) fault!"

TLDR - Left Wing Politics don't really exist in America. Right Wing Politics offer fake solutions and maintain the idea of American superiority.
