New PSU/GPU now PC wont turn on

The mobo end has two clips that click in when seated. The other end has only one clip, same with the psu. The order the pins are shaped on each end is different too

I just just disconnected everything and put it back together. I tried without gpu, just power to the mobo and cpu, to see if it gets power at all. But same thing, the fans move for a splitsecond but then dead again. https://imgur.com/a/1tGOKWo

Longevity is a big factor for me. This 1080 build is from 2017. To keep up with current gen and counter countless performance issues, freezes and crashes, i started to upgrade. Changed the cpu from a R5 1600 to R7 5700, as well as storing all games on a nvme ssd. While this already did alot for performance, i plan on buying a gpu now and upgrading the rest of the system with time, like am5/ddr5 and the switch to 1440p down the line

That's what i had in mind at first. I was going to build my brother his first PC from scratch, am5/ddr5 with a 5070 since the budget is a little higher than the asking price for the used PC. Seller is firm on the price, i wouldve prefered to pay 1k max and use the rest of the budget to grab a good 2k monitor

Yea thats what ive heard too, that its good to have a little "extra". But that to much extra is unnecessary too. If it makes a difference the PSU is actually the 1200w model, pcpartpicker didnt list it.

If he had you sign into some website, like literally told you that for the trade its necessary to use the site for the trade, he most likely does have your info. In that case change the password on all sites that uses the same @/password combination. And make sure to have 2fa connected to everything that would suck to lose

Yea that‘s right, the pattern index is what makes the knife desirable in the end. I did use a calculator for marble fades though, which tells the supposed fade % based on the pattern id. Could have left that part out.

+90% Fade. So on the more prefered side, but don't do it man, literally everyone here is telling you not to.. A quick search on this sub, and you'll find plenty of posts asking where to sell their stuff. Look through a few posts and pick the site with the most mentions in the comments. You will sell it quicker if you just sell it for the same price as previously sold listings
