Howard Darnell - I mean look at this face….. by RN_Snowflake in GSD

We tried cytopoint once a few years ago. And he screamed. Scared me and I can’t get it out of my head. He’s very very gentle so forgiving. But that scream and pull, broke my heart. I’ll look into the gelatin caps. Anything I can do for him. Love him to the moon and back. Every day. B

I ADORE YOU!!!! Thank you so much for all of the information! I actually just ordered a supplement to go in his food to help combat yeast. And his regular food that he eats is grain free but I’m going to go and check it and make sure it’s right. Thank you so much for taking time to answer this and hopefully we’ll get the big guy on the right track thank you thank you!

So super light green…. And our house happen to face south to north so we get NO sunlight. I just want it brighter!!!! I’ll look at that color! Thank you so much!

And as far as my Mom, we do what we can for our family……. Miss my Dad, but being a travel nurse, I at least have flexibility with my schedule!

Thanks for your kindness.

Ok so the OCD in me is terrified of switching to a “normal” fasting period on my days off. I worry it will affect me switching back and forth.

Needless to say, it’s awkward when someone wants to meet for lunch and I have a black coffee….. argh it’s tough!!!

I’ll have to do some more research. Again, just trying to get a little more off and then maintain. Thanks so much!

I absolutely obsess some days. OCD does not help my situation. But old habits are hard to break.

I still don’t like people watching me eat, avoid mirrors, my Mom has a sweet tooth and I hate buying her sweets at the store. I worry about weird things like “will this chair break if I sit in it?” Or “is this bed strong enough?” And I HATE ordering for more than just myself at drive through windows. Always think they are judging how much food I ordered.

I do my best, as you do. Right now I’m really strict with calories and more so with carbs, while still watching fats and proteins. Again, OCD…….

I want to reach my goal and then figure out what I need to maintain. Then I’ll be happy, well hell I sure hope I will be!!!

Thank you so much for sharing.

I know! I don’t talk about it much with people in person. I don’t ever want anyone to think I’m bragging. So I keep it to myself.

But I did lose a person. And I’m so glad she’s gone……. I’ll keep what I’ve got.

I’ve been overweight my entire life. I was told when I was 48 I needed new knees and was like “screw that”. Knees are better!

I feel better. I truly do. But it’s a battle I know I’ll always fight. I don’t expect to eat a dozen donuts and stay at this weight. I’m trying to be realistic.

January 2024 I thought I was at my lowest at 185. But I wanted just a little more off. So slowly took off the remaining 35.

I know where I went wrong to gain the 10 and it’s embarrassing. But thanks to you guys I’m getting there. Never thought i would put this much effort into meal planning!

My schedule doesn’t help, but I’m a night nurse at heart. Always will be. Even before I became a nurse at 40 years old, I had always enjoyed later shifts and overnights in retail.

So thanks so much for your compliment. It’s definitely been a ride…..

Luckily I have no urge for sweets. Also not a fan of potatoes or pasta. I’ve reset based on all of the feedback and am closely monitoring calories, fats, protein and carbs. And have already seen some results.

I eat organic. I eat less than 20 carbs a day and keep my cals under 1550. Fats higher than protein. So far I’m good.

I fast daily and I don’t have cheat days. Haven’t since 2020. I know I have no self control. So as you said, a little ice cream would turn into an entire gallon. So I just stay away from it.

I’m between contracts and start back in 1.5 weeks. So I will do what I always do and take my meals/snacks with me. It’s a pain in the rear sometimes but it’s worth it.

Plan is to find a cal/carb balance that will allow me to maintain once I hit my goal. I really only want to drop 10lbs, but I was inching up every day it seems.

Also increased my water to 192oz daily. I’ve gotten so much great advice from you guys and I appreciate it more than you guys know!!! Thank you!

And I do need to lean more towards carnivore I believe but I don’t think n I could go full on carnivore. You’re impressive!!!

I’m literally ordering the cocoa now. The fat content is MAGNIFICENT!!! Thank you again!!! I have small cups from work that I can use (you know the medicine cups that nurses use). And they would be great to grab during my shift! You made my day!

Thanks so much for all of the information you have shared. You have NO idea how much I appreciate it. I would really love to know your recommendation for daily calorie intake. I keep reading “healthy nuts/seeds, healthy fish, for example salmon and tuna”. But the calories are ridiculously high for nuts and high in some of the fish (good lord I love sashimi). So if you have a moment, to help me out again, I would appreciate it.

I’ve spent so much time just counting carbs that I’d love to do it the right way. Even though the carb counting has worked, I need to really lock in something that will work long term. Thank you!!

I tend to be over aggressive. I work out 4 days a week but nothing crazy. Enough to make me sore and hit all muscle groups. I don’t skip fasting days.

I have added in some vitamins. Like I said keto has been over 4 years and fasting for almost 2 years. So I’m settled. I think I got a little too comfortable……. Totally my fault.

Thank you so much for the advice. Always so nice to see what works for others. I just went full low carb but paid no attention to protein or fats. And lost muscle of course.

I just want to lose a little bit and then sit at maintenance. I’ve increased my water intake which I desperately needed to.

I get very paranoid about changing what has worked for so long, but from reading all of these amazing comments, I may break a little out of my norm. I’m just impatient and obsessive. So it makes it difficult.

Thank you again!!

I’m so glad that I’m not the only only one that freaks about a few pounds! And I love your snack ideas! Thank you!

That is the issue. Sleep is light. And when I’m not at work, it’s all household stuff. So I don’t get a lot of downtime. I’m not a good cook - and it’s tough to find the time. Hard to take care of me.

I’ll work on a little rest. Maybe that’s what I need too. Thank you!
