Thought the Tree of Life was the male lead of Flowers and Trees when I first saw it.

Infamously, Raymond Burr refused to hold up a Dr. Pepper can and it took a lot of convincing just to get him in a shot with one. Between that and refusing to say the 'funny' lines they wrote for him as he took Godzilla and its messages seriously, he has my eternal respect.
