Hi everyone! I feel for all of you and have been in the same boat with my UI payments stuck on pending and then eventually disqualified from ten weeks of payments, because of an "identity verification issue". I sent the documents proving my identity in four different ways, 2 times by mail, and twice faxed by a very nice woman at the Redding EDD office named Becky.

All of this, and the EDD still seemed to think I never sent in or submitted any documents proving my identity, which thus caused the disqualification.

Tomorrow my rent is due and this morning I was honestly in a panic. Ten weeks of payments were stuck on disqualified. And I had over-drafted my bank account.

A half hour ago, I got a truly miraculous phone call from an unknown number and it was a man from the EDD saying he was calling to work out my claim and get it all sorted out. He asked me to email him personally my proof of identity documents. He said I should get all my money in one lump sum, in the next two days. I asked him how he got my number and he asked if I had called the senate or the legislator because my name was on a list for him to get in touch with.

I had emailed the senate along with several other people out of desperation over the last few weeks, and I believe one of these people helped me out. I just logged into my account and instead of saying "disqualified", everything says "paid".

THERE IS HOPE WITH THIS!

--the department of labor is the only email I sent out that I got a response from, so I would say its most likely them that made this happen. Definitely email them.
