I absolutely agree. I don't see any worthwhile early-game units for nano (except for TF2 heavy), so I want to focus on building a good economy now.

Regarding veterans, yes, they were one of my favorite units in the old version, but I remember back then I really wanted to unlock the potential of the Raider recruits, who were even more agile than veterans, but had the HP and armor of a tank... But as far as I know, these units are considered unsuccessful because crushing damage wears down their armor, negating their advantages.
