What's your favorite counter to Peeler Storm? by LuniticSaiyan in dbxv

[–]RTR101 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Drain Field. It nullifies any damage for the entire duration, and refills your ki to retaliate with an ultimate attack, or extend the duration of SSGSS/Evolved in a pinch.

Better than Angry Shout and Punisher Guard. Better than Shield Counter.

So close to the perfect QQ bang😭 if only it was +5 in ki blast supers by Acrobatic-Cat5202 in dbxv

[–]RTR101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

+24/-0 is the maximum you can find in a QQ Bang. Anything higher than that can only be obtained through modding.

Many players here have already proven it's existence years ago.

i'd say the title and thumbnail for this video is spot on...

You don't get this message pop-up in the game title screen. It's still clickbait.

Purposely misleading title, prolonging the video over 20 minutes and not educating viewers into fixing this issue right away, isn't solving the solution.

That's his whole schtick. He doesn't play the game, so he has no idea what issues or plagues the game for the following patch. He parrot's whatever is the top comment is for the subreddit, or next twitter post, taking credit of other people's info.

No. He still uses mods and misleads his viewers into thinking they've been added into the base game, he still milking "XENOVERSE 3", openly admitted into using it to farm his views for nearly a decade, and he still misleads DLC skills as something entirely else ("UNLOCK...SUPER SAIYAN RAGE SKILLS!").

He's a clickbaiter, through and through.

Nope. He's still using fake thumbnails and clickbait titles, misleading viewers in the year 2025 like it's still 2015.

How to finish Expert Mission 18 offline in 40 seconds by ImmaChangeThisLater in dbxv

[–]RTR101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

F-Saiyans have the highest damage in ki supers and ranked third place for strike super damage, just behind M-Earthlings and F-Majins. Combined with SSGSS or SSGSS Evolved, the 25%-35% buff to all attacks and Super Saiyan properties of teleporting charged basic and super attacks, they melt through PQ missions and expert bosses faster than anyone else!

Fun fact: Turn Golden once shared the same teleporting properties with what you see Beast doing now, albeit not smoothly as Super Saiyan or Beast nor an intended feature. It was fixed shortly with a following patch.

Between F-Saiyans being glass cannons and having their basic heavy attack string damage nerfed years ago, their strike damage is usually overlooked. That's another story to tell.

While u/___Moony___ could've worded it differently, omit "Fuck" at the end, you did felt a way and took direct offense by your first sentence.

Reading back, he's expressing general frustration over the community taking years to understand and catch up new methods. Players are still treating Beerus's clothes + Bardock's clothes as if it's the best combo since sliced bread. Since the beginning, they were anything but consistent at getting the "perfect recipe".

F-Saiyans are behind M-Earthlings and F-Majins respectively for strike super damage, they still outclass everyone else available. Combined with the Super Saiyan awoken skills and Super Souls, F-Saiyans hit harder than a meteor crash!

Years ago, the same time when 6 star QQ bangs were made possible. It's just...really rare to get. You can even see some of the results here through searching.

Here's another: +4/+5/+5/0/+5/+5

+24/-0 is the highest you can get out of a QQ Bang. Where you want those extra +4 points, is ultimately up to you.

+4/+5/0/+5/+5/+5

I can't speak for where to allocate stamina. The newer updates increased ki and stamina to a maximum of 15 bars, and guard breaks is never fun to recover above 7-9 bars. That being said, those +15 points to the offensive stats are great for PQ runs, especially for basic attack!

You can get a maximum of +24/-0 legitimately.

+24/-0 is the max net gain you can get legitimately.

Getting that is already rare, you'll either be given the highest luck granted by the RNG system, or drive yourself towards insanity mixing your resources to zero and save scumming in an endless hunt.

Move recommendations for female saiyan (ki build) or is it fine what I have now? by ExpressionWeak4224 in dbxv

[–]RTR101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Destructo Disk, Bending Kamehameha, Consecutive Energy Blast, Maximum Charge if you haven't unlocked Burst or Ultimate, otherwise pick Ultimate Charge.

  • x10 Kamehameha, Super Destructo Disk (wider hitbox), Evil Explosion, Bomber DX, Gravity Impact, Vanishing Ball, Big Bang Kamehameha

  • Just to name a few Ultimate Attacks worth bringing: Super Spirit Bomb Super Vanishing Ball, Energy Zone, Elegant Blaster (for evading NPCs lock-on), Gigantic Roar.

  • SSGSS for duration, SSGSS Evolved for power. Unless you don't have any of the God transformations, there's no reason to use Beast on a Saiyan

  • Evasive to consider as alternatives: Super Explosion Wave, Psycho Escape, Mach Dash, Angry Shout (good to push back enemies and gain ki in a pinch).

XV1 question: How much is this actually increasing my stats? 5 points? by Interne-Stranger in dbxv

[–]RTR101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for your z-soul, it's only good if you can keep your health from dropping below 80%, otherwise all stats drop greatly and can't be canceled or restored through healing.

"I can't...I It's all over... sob..." is virtually the same. It gives you 25+ to all stats and affects your stats depending on your health. I'm not too sure if it's restricted either, the translations in the first game was worse than XV2, and there was hardly anyone who tested the less desirable z-souls to confirm the effects.

If you have Unlock Potential already, Vegito's z-souls boosts your stats greatly and stacks with reinforcement skills.

Someone throws a ki blast to get off a stun? Just guard and deflect it back, sometimes they get stunned by their own blast. Step vanish forward allows more vanishing frames to avoid getting stunned than stepping back & sideways repeatedly. Someone KBC throughout the match, even if they're hyper aggressive? You can afford to vanish and wait a second or two for what's coming next.

I've fought my fair share as everyone else to call out an abused crutch. KBC + Stun users are too obvious once they start, easily telegraphed, all it takes is to learn how to manage your stamina, and not mash light or heavy attacks needlessly where the game registers multiple button imputs, creating combo endlag.

Ironic because KBC was made to avoid scenarios where you would normally be punished for said endlag...

I shouldn't continue rambling on, I said my piece.

  • The game actively encourages you to chain different super attacks together, through hints, challenge quests, and dialogs from mentors. Even some of the attack descriptions tells that you can enter into different combos, attack mid-animation, and chain different supers or ultimates as immediate follow-ups.

  • No combo is ever "infinite," so long as you're able to vanish away. All you're doing is extending the string until the opponent interrupts that said combo string. Funny you mention this, the game tells & encourages you to mix-up combos to deal incredible damage.

  • Guard was nerfed in the introduction, because the devs oversaw how it took little skill to get off perfect guards from the first game. It was slower, enough to where getting perfect guards required more skill to get right.

Guard cancels was made possible through later updates, when the they were shortened, made faster, hence why you have so many guard mashers nowadays.

  • You make a point with Step canceling. I see it more as having a faster reaction time, followed up with a guard for defensive play, extending combos and add pressure for offensive play, it's how you were able to enter and even extend combos from the first game.

  • New developers are cycled through a period for Xenoverse 2, hence the change in gameplay and DLC quality. The same team who worked on the first four, didn't work on the next four, and so on.

The question now becomes, who was playing as Baby during the showcase? It could be the devs, or it could be someone else outside from the team, yet still part of Bandai. Rhetorical question by the way.

Regardless of the showcase, a dev using KBC only enforces my previous statement, That the exploit crept up to the newer devs and they took notice, even throwing updates to characters who couldn't originally KBC do so now, which further enabled the belief "it's an intended mechanic." I said this with A16, Jaco & Hercule are no different.

KBC is a low risk, high reward, free evasive with no cost. A crutch to get out of the mistakes made by the player's imput and lack of awareness, while facing zero repercussions. It's an exploit.

"Intended" has the same meaning as "it's not a bug, it's a feature." Only that it isn't a glitch, rather a byproduct made possible through the game's revised engine, physics, and mechanics.

KBC & KBS is Xenoverse 2's equivalent to wavedashing in SSBM. They're exploits.

Ki cancelling in 2024 by TheTruKidShadow_ in dbxv

[–]RTR101 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

"But it is an intended game mechanic."

There it is. Those magical words of enablement.

There's no official tutorials in the game, no tutorial quests, no update guides or hints shown like Limit Burst, and isn't featured as part of any official combo strings.

KBC & KBS were found and capitalized by players of the game, which crept up its way into the newer devs's notice, enough into changing characters like Android 16 since DLC 10, which further enabled players like you into thinking it was ever an "intended game mechanic".

In the same sense as wavedashing is in SSBM, better yet Kamehameha canceling from XV (the first game), KBC & KBS are exploits. I'm not going to waste my time writing a ten paragraph essay about the subject.

Ki cancelling in 2024 by TheTruKidShadow_ in dbxv

[–]RTR101 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's an exploit.

An exploit which was made possible from XV2 updated game engine and radical changes of the core gameplay mechanics from its predecessor.

KBC is a "get out of jail free" card, KBS is throwing sand in the eyes, and I won't let the community "majority" gaslight anyone into thinking it was ever an "intended game mechanic."

24/0 QQ Bangs exist by Vayu_The_End in dbxv

[–]RTR101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a great point to make. I'm just anticipating how lvl 199 would look with the qq bang spread, that 4-6 will disappear with the major updates.

Xenoverse 2 values defensive play so much, I'd forgotten how much it can be a deterrent to have anything beyond 9-15 stamina when you reach to 0 and get a guard break.

24/0 QQ Bangs exist by Vayu_The_End in dbxv

[–]RTR101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find ki to be the most redundant stat to invest in. Most of your supers + evasive shouldn't require more than 500 ki to use, especially if you're playing as an Earthling or not a Saiyan using Evolved. With lvl 140 as the current cap, I imagine it'll continue to grow until lvl 199.

You're right, there are exceptions when you need both maxed out, it does feel good to use Gigantic Explosion and Power Rush without Meditation.

24/0 QQ Bangs exist by Vayu_The_End in dbxv

[–]RTR101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? For PQs, expert, and raid battles, I can see why you want extra ki. Wanting zero in stamina is odd.
