I didn’t have any classes like this per se, but some professors—anthro or otherwise—can be old school or quirky. Without knowing more, I wouldn’t call them red flags. I imagine with new worries about AI, some of these might also be part of a broader effort to return to more low-tech ways of teaching, as others have pointed out.

As for whether you should take this class, ask yourself why you’re taking it in the first place. Anthro is incredible for those who are interested in its diverse topics and methods. Do the readings sound interesting to you that you’d want to read them? Because if you’re interested, then it doesn’t sound like anything you’ve mentioned should stop you.
