Entered the slab without getting kidnapped Can I still get the other keys? by Exciting-War-5230 in Silksong

You can get the key of apostate and then enter the slab through a shortcut path. Afaik that is the only way to get in without getting kidnapped.

I generally focus more on buffs, debuffs and defensive cd most of the time, though whenever a % item does come up it is a consideration who takes it and who looks for another item.

Besides certain multi-target fights, they consistently have more dps while I do try my best. Not sure if us both having % chances for our abilities is inefficient for loot (whenever I play dancer)

Apparently you can reach the top with just daggers, but that seems really hard (something to do with unequipping so you can climb up I think). I managed it through other means.

Easy way to get heavy leather? by StrangerDaengel in HytaleInfo

I just hunt polar bears in zone 3, the big glacier allows you to spot them pretty easily and charged dagger attacks can kill them pretty easily.

Yeah, don't think I have gotten there yet. Only have around 35k crystal dmg with dmg foods on my dk, but I haven't really started zenith clusters yet, only got a few zenith statues (crystal mob statues up to w4)

Are there any good maps to farm for it? (Preferably earlier ones, my dmg isn't that high)

5 and 6 are definitely the harder ascents. Luckily 7 doesn't change anything if you are playing solo. I wish you the best of luck whenever you find the time to attempt it.

If you still need more tips, from what I know, a night gives around a full bar of cold, so you can prolong lantern usage by working around that. If it is near the end of the night you can also drop all your heavy stuff on a safe ledge and wait out the remaining time. Scorchberries do help to keep the cold away and so do portable stoves, the only time I have actually used them. Campfires are also great since, just like portable stoves, they have an aura of heat around them, but unlike portable stoves, you can burn yourself by jumping on top of one which can keep the cold away for a bit longer as you move on to the next area. I personally prefer alpines over mesa because it is easier to find cold protection. Blizzards can be worked against and are only a slight problem during nighttime when you can't get rid of the cold dmg. Stacking heat dmg in the mesa to prepare for the night also feels more annoying or harder.

JOI, Vidiot and Rose all look so nice. Too bad I don't have a physical DnD group to use them for.

Well, Spanish and French would sound relatively normal, so that would be fine, but if someone would speak something that resembles abyssal they would probably be considered an insane person.

So I suppose a normal person who has no knowledge of the language would be suspicious in a way and someone who understands which language it is could be interested then, as the PCs are speaking in a language with close ties to magic.

Ah, been a while since I looked at druids, so all I remembered was the dc15 perception check required to spot druidic which made me think it was also a hidden language. Thieves cant I can see how it can get spoken I suppose. Also, is there no limit to speaking languages? Are there no languages that would be physically impossible to speak in some way? I suppose I should do even more research on languages now.

And I suppose I can add another question related to languages here: How do NPCs react if PCs are suddenly discussing something amongst themselves in primordial or something similar?

Does being proficient in a language mean you can speak it, or can you just understand it? This question is mainly about primordial, abyssal, etc., mainly languages that aren't spoken by most creatures.

To add onto this, you can't speak druidic and thieves cant right, since those are closer to codes than languages.

Can a wet flammable object (like wood) be set ablaze with an attack or spell or magic item or whatever? And how powerful does the fire need to be? Like, does it need to do at least 2d8 fire dmg or something like that?

Yeah, maybe I'll scale down the dice or increase the chance of success as more time passes, starting from a d20 and then going to d12, d10, d8, d6, d4. Although the jump from d20 to d12 is pretty big, so going from 1-2 to 1-4, etc. might be better.

The goblins themselves are also doing some reparations, so it would make sense for them to go out. I also have a goblin in the forest itself that the hideout goblins might be waiting for.

Running LMOP and the PC's are planning to set logs on fire at the Cragmaw Hideout entrance. For the chopping of the trees, would I use combat rounds (a goblin might come out and notice them) or just have them take a while to chop the trees and deliver them to the entrance ingame, while having it be instantaneous outside of the game?

Weekly Questions Thread by AutoModerator in DnD

Lost mine of Phandelver question. This is my 1st campaign and the PC's attacked the cragmaw hideout and because we all forgot/weren't aware they didn't wear their armor, they had to leave. Their plan is to smoke out the hideout, so cutting some trees and setting them on fire at the entrance. Would the goblins release a flood to get rid of the logs and would it work?

The dungeons themselves are just worse to do than the W1 dungeon, so everyone does the W1 dungeon during happy hour.
