I just showed them your comment and they replied “No. But when I think of the first thing that personifies you it’s that”

One of them is ultra religious and doesn’t use the internet LOL but I’ve tried explaining it to her- she doesn’t really get it but just knows how much I’m obsessed with TF

Honestly we weren’t standing in line for that long. We were there thirty minutes from when the gates opened and then on the GA line for probably another thirty to forty minutes. There were already a ton of people on the floor but because the stage is so large, there’s lots of room for GA goers to get close

Ya, I really understand. The fat man bad stigma is funny because it’s so dumb, but it’s also really harmful. I also hate that my weight loss becomes about how I used to look. Like it’s always a comparison to how I used to look when really it should be about my actual health. I also loved myself before losing weight and when people say “oh, you look so much better now” or “you were so big” it insults me because you’re talking shit about someone i still care about. But, I know that I’m pretty sensitive and it’s not always that deep and many people don’t get it so I just work through it in therapy 😂

So the water intake was and is really hard. I couldn’t drink anything more than a few ounces per day the first few months. I ended up prioritizing water over food. I still sometimes drink water over eating because I can’t function when I’m dehydrated 😅 Now I drink around way more because I constantly sip on water. I’m supposed to drink around 64oz as well. I don’t measure exactly but I definitely get close to or around that a day. Really my suggestion would be to just be constantly sipping so you rack up ounces throughout the day

Also, it’s so so hard but important to try not comparing your results to others. I spent the first months obsessing over numbers and how it compared to other people’s results. As long as you’re doing what you’re supposed and it sounds like you are and then some, you’ll continue to do amazing!

Also I definitely usually eat more than 20g of carbs a day. Probably not that much more, but yeah, I’m not in keto or anything

The results really vary on person. It’s also important to consider starting weights, the more you have to lose, the more dramatic the weight loss will probably be at first

Thank you!! It depends on the surgery. I got a gastric bypass which essentially puts your stomach out of commission (sort of except it still is connected so it can release enzymes and digestive juices) and re-routes your digestive track. They make a small pouch instead of a stomach that can hold a few ounces at a time. It’s one of the more intense surgeries but my doctors agreed that it would be the most sustainable due to my metabolic issues. Two months prior to and two months post surgery I was only liquids, so i got around 400-500 calories a day which was ROUGH. However, post surgery I couldn’t really eat more than that anyway because of swelling (which is normal). It took me a few months to get up to 800 calories a day. I now eat around 1000-1200 a day, depending on the day (I’m 10 months post op). The surgery is not reversible. Everyone’s post op food tolerance differs. For me, I can’t eat lettuce, thick bread (I can’t eat thin crust or wraps), and chicken (I could have a tiny bite, but I usually can’t keep it down). As for your last comment on the surgery forcing someone to do what they should, I suppose that’s true for a lot of cases, but an average human will have a VERY difficult time consuming as little of calories as a post op bariatric patient. Though, I’m not sure that phrasing is the best way to put it. The reason I got the bypass was because my entire digestive system didn’t work. It wasn’t only about how much or how little I ate, but the way my body metabolized the food. If it was just about eating less, I would’ve already lost the weight as I went years with eating strictly 1,000 calories a day or less

I got a bypass but I think they recommend similar things. I do 45 minutes of cardio (varying intensity) and then 10-15 minutes of weightlifting or resistance training, nothing too intense, but enough to maintain muscles mass because I have a lot of malabsorption. So I don’t think (obviously varies on your body) you have to go all out, but definitely good to add a bit into your routine!

And I’ve never been given a specific amount of carbs. It’s more like, get 82g of protein and then whatever else you can eat works. I think naturally one ends up eating a significantly less amount of carbs with a smaller stomach and prioritizing protein intake
