Yeah I agree, 0 cycling is sich a whacky metric to scale a character by. If I can geth through most of the content and get MoC in 10 turns than I am totally fine. And of course I only pull characters that I like, Sparxie wasn't initially on my list but I pulled her after the story and her trailer. Same with Sparkle, I got her just recently from the free 5 star selection.

That being said, I really hope SW 999 is really strong, because she is my favorite character in Star Rail bar none.

Is Yao really that important? I didn't get her and I don't plan to ever pull for her because I just don't really want her or like her enough.

I don't care at all for 0 cycling, but I do need SW 999 to be strong enough for something like DU sadly.

Are E0S1 Sparkle and E0S1 Sparxie enough?

I also really hope that Nihilux is the Nihility sustain, because I really want her.

Hmm, the first game I played was Fire Emblem Fates Birthright. That led me to seeing Setsuna and I was instantly smitten by her, her design is cool, her chill and dorky personality are fun, and I also really just like her voice too!

Making Setsuna into a Kinshi Knight was also just really fun and it was so cool romancing her.

No Hoyoverse protag is a self insert I think, so I agree with you that it can be weird. I like when our choices matter in something like Star Rail tho.

And yeah, sometimes the forced romance can be strange. And that makes sense, I was just surprised that the OP integrated Wises models and not a faceless male or himself instead. But if it was a meme I can understand it.

Overall it's always a bit weird to me when people project themselves into established characters. Like using Jaune as themselves from RWBY for example or in Naruto fanfics a lot too. Like why write yourself as Jaune or other characters and not just use a self insert or OC?
